Hi Deena, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, I’m Deena Channell—an entrepreneur, skincare enthusiast, and esthetician. My journey began in the Central Valley of California, where I grew up in a family facing financial struggles. Life was challenging, but at 13, a compassionate woman from my church took me in and provided me with a new home and opportunities. She introduced me to youth groups and community activities, which kindled my desire to make a difference in others’ lives.

From a young age, I had a natural entrepreneurial spirit. As a kid I started by selling snacks to my fellow students, finding ways to earn and manage my own money. This drive continued to grow as I learned to have multiple sources of income, always striving to be independent and achieve my big dreams.

My own struggles with self-confidence led me to discover a deep passion for skincare. Becoming an esthetician allowed me to channel my personal experiences into helping others feel great about themselves. During the COVID-19 quarantine, I met my now-fiancé, and together we shared a vision of creating something meaningful. With a lot of hard work, we founded Euphoria Medspa, a place dedicated to optimizing health and boosting confidence.

Our business reflects our commitment to making a positive impact in people’s lives, combining our passions and experiences into a space where clients can truly shine. We’re excited to be part of each person’s journey and to help them achieve their best self.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but the bumps along the way have shaped who I am today. Growing up, my family struggled financially, so I learned early on how to be resourceful. I had to figure out ways to support myself. —any side hustle I could do to stay independent and chase my dreams.

Becoming an esthetician also came with its challenges. It took a lot of hard work, time, and investment to gain the skills and confidence I needed to truly thrive. And then, when COVID-19 hit, the world seemed to flip upside down. The uncertainty of that time was hard, but it was also when I met my fiancé. Together, we decided to take the leap and turn our shared passion into something real: Euphoria Medspa.

Starting a business from scratch has had its share of ups and downs. There were long hours, tight budgets, and moments when we weren’t sure how things would work out. But every challenge brought us closer to our vision of creating a space where people could feel their best.

Looking back, I realize those struggles taught me so much about resilience, staying adaptable, and trusting the process. It wasn’t always easy, but each obstacle made the victories even sweeter, and I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.

For me, success also means continuous growth, both personally and professionally. It’s about learning from challenges, adapting to change, and always striving to improve. At the end of the day, if we’re helping people feel better about themselves and building genuine connections, I consider that the ultimate success.
