Today we’d like to introduce you to BidVita (Originally Live Itt).

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was originally asked to do this for Live Itt, but I am circling back around with BidVita. I’m Courtney, the Chief Marketing Officer at BidVita. I was born and raised in Hawaii and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in Kinesiology. After graduating, I worked at Equinox as a personal trainer and eventually a personal training manager at the DTLA location. I saw the need to promote wellness in the workplace, and after 5 years at Equinox embarked on the journey to start a corporate wellness company that focused on employee physical and mental well-being. Simultaneously, as Miss Southern California Cities 2018, I used my platform to promote healthier communities through health and hygiene for the homeless in Los Angeles. When the COVID-19 hit, companies began discontinuing with vendors and the unknown loomed. At that time, and with no real backup plan, I pivoted from health and wellness to marketing and business consulting. I gained valuable experience working as for a CEO and executive marketing and sales team in an equipment finance company and learned the valuable marketing skills needed. I also pursued a postgraduate marketing certificate at UCLA, which helped propel many opportunities in the SaaS and technology marketing space. This led me to being a part of the founding team of BidVita.

Here’s a little story about our co-founder, CEO of BidVita, Slava Borisov: “My family Immigrated here when I was three years old from Ukraine with six brothers and sisters. The smell of freedom liberated my parents with four suitcases and $40 in their pockets, they were the happiest people at that moment when they arrived in the US escaping the USSR regime.

Growing up, I saw both of them work tirelessly for a better future for generations to come, regardless of the toll they had to endure in the short term. With that discipline and fanatical work ethic, I started my journey. I got my first job at 11. Started my first business at 18 out of necessity to pay for college. Finishing my BA in just two years. I moved to LA to start my young career and then 2009 hit and nobody was hiring. In secret slept in my car for two weeks looking for a job. After a few years in the job, decided to start a business. Out of the gates, I failed on my first try, failed twice more over a 5-year span. I finally thought I arrived and found the secret after building a multi – million-dollar business in three years with no investors or outside support.

Then COVID hit, and being in commercial construction, the company got decimated and close down. I spent my savings to pay employee’s salaries to make sure they had enough to survive during difficult times even though I was suffering with no revenue or what the foreseeable future would bring. But it was the right thing to do.

With no business and no income, I was back to square one. All I had was my experience, health, and hard work. I got an idea to help anyone get construction costs in minutes compared to weeks. So, I got to work, putting in 100 hours a week for 12 months without pay.

BidVita was launched which means “Life” in Latin is the world’s first artificial intelligence platform for commercial construction. We solved the biggest problem in the last century in a 300-billion-dollar industry. Construction is the largest cost on a project and the least known until the end. We flipped the traditional approach and allowed anyone to get costs from the start. Anyone can get costs without construction experience, with a click in minutes.”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
BidVita, Inc. is a construction software company based in Los Angeles, CA. Slava Borisov and Vikas Rudruppa founded BidVita in 2021. Although we come from different backgrounds and from various parts of the world, we share the same values and have each worked together on past projects and companies.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
My definition of success changes depending on the season of life I’m in. As of right now, my definition of success is being able to build something great in order to give me the opportunity to provide for my loved ones and those in need. I also define success also being in the best physical and mental shape, having clarity, and having financial freedom.
