Daily Inspiration: Meet Zyasia Page

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zyasia Page.

Zyasia Page

Hi Zyasia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
GOOOOODMORNINGGGG, Hello & How are you…? My name is Zyasia Page; I am originally from Staten Island, New York. I was born and raised there until the age of about 10, which is when I booked Young Nala In The Lion King on Broadway. I ended up going on tour and got to live out my wildest dreams. After traveling around the world, this industry was something I knew I really wanted to pursue. My mom and I packed up; she left her job, our family, and the house, and we moved to California. I have had countless opportunities since I’ve been here. I’ve worked with everyone from Michael B Jordan, DaBaby, Lizzo, Michelle Williams, Lola Brookes, Blxst, and many more. I’ve also been in Movies, Commercials, Award Shows, TV shows etc. I’ve also been a WNBA dancer with the LA Sparks for the past 7 years, as well as it being my 2nd year with the NBA Los Angeles Clippers. Along with that, I recently graduated from Esthetician School and am now a Licensed Esthetician. In the process of Esthetician School, I created GET RIGHT BYZY. GET RIGHT BYZY is my lip line that has a lip gloss with an LED light and a mirror, a two-in-one lip scrub & lip balm, lip pencils, ChapSticks, etc. I just gotta thank God that my story is forever growing & developing me into everything that I’m supposed to be. Can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We are all going through something; let’s just put that out there first and foremost! One of my biggest obstacles I’ve faced in this industry is my size. Everyone knows me for being tiny, but I like to call it fun size! But, with the industry that I work in, most artists do not want a dancer smaller than them on stage, it’s just not aesthetically pleasing. A result of that is receiving a lot of “you’re great BUT you’re too short” “not thick enough”, etc. As a dancer, we already get so many NOs and go through so much, but it being based around my body, things that I can’t change, and not my talent made it difficult at times. I love me and my body so I know what’s meant for me will never pass me. I do look really young, and for a lot of the goals that I set for myself, this industry has shown me that right now might not be the best path for me. Just trying to find a balance between what I know I love to do and what I do on a day-to-day basis while still making money and feeding my soul all at the same time.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When it comes to work, I do a lot of that in a lot of different places. The goal has always been to have multiple sources of income. For starters, I am the CEO of my own business. Make sure y’all GET RIGHT BYZY, promise it’ll change your life. I work with the WNBA & the NBA for all home games, events & playoffs! I am also the choreographer for this new game coming out called Elastic Beats. But outside of all of the entertainment things that I do, I am also a Medical Assistant at Blush Beverly Hills. I work with some of the best aesthetics plastic surgeons and nurses in Los Angeles. I’m also working on a few projects that I can’t talk about just yet, but they will be out end of 2024 for early 2025. Can’t wait to tell you guys all about it.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
If you take anything away from this interview, just remember to “Shine Like That Star I Know You Are.” Remember that NOTHING is impossible. The word impossible spells out I’m possible. You can do anything you put your mind to, know that it will get hard at times just focus up, stop listening to outside opinions and stay the course. A lot of people won’t understand it or even support it until you do it- so just do it. You’ll thank yourself later & it’ll all pay off in the long run.
