Daily Inspiration: Meet Timothy Hill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Timothy Hill

Timothy, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey began in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I built a foundation working in government, but I always knew there was something more waiting for me. In May 2021, I took a leap of faith, packed my bags, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue my creative passions. Leaving behind stability to step into the unknown wasn’t easy, but I knew I had to bet on myself.

After a corporate layoff earlier in 2024, I embraced the freedom to fully commit to my dreams. I launched my podcast, What’s The Tea With Tim, where I dive into deep, honest conversations that inspire and connect. I also began pursuing voice acting, modeling, and writing—avenues that allow me to tell stories in unique ways. Each challenge has made me more resilient, and every step has reinforced my belief that this journey is where I’m meant to be. Today, I’m proud to create work that uplifts and inspires others, while staying true to the vision that brought me here.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road by far, but the challenges along the way have shaped me into who I am today. One of the most difficult moments was being laid off from my corporate position earlier this year. Losing a job can feel like losing a sense of stability and direction, and at the time, I struggled with self-doubt and fear of the unknown. But that moment also forced me to confront what truly mattered to me and gave me the space to focus on my creative passions.

Another challenge has been navigating the uncertainty of pursuing a creative career, especially in an expensive and competitive city like Los Angeles. From building a podcast and brand from scratch to stepping into modeling and voice acting, each step has required immense faith, persistence, and the ability to silence the doubts—both external and internal. Learning to advocate for myself in corporate and creative spaces, while staying true to my vision, has been another uphill battle. But every struggle has reinforced my belief in betting on myself. It’s through the hard moments that I’ve grown the most, and I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work is rooted in storytelling. Whether it’s through my podcast, What’s The Tea With Tim, modeling, voice acting, or writing poetry, I aim to connect with people by sharing authentic and relatable stories. I specialize in creating spaces where people feel seen, inspired, and understood, blending honesty, humor, and vulnerability in everything I do. My podcast is a platform for real, deep conversations that explore the joys and challenges of life, sparking connection and community with my audience, my besTEAs.

What sets me apart is my ability to weave faith, empathy, and creativity into my work. As an empath, I’m deeply attuned to the human experience, and I strive to translate that into art that resonates on a meaningful level. I’m proud of taking risks—like launching my podcast and stepping into modeling and acting—and building a brand that reflects my values. I’m most proud of the feedback I’ve received from people who tell me that my stories or conversations have uplifted or inspired them. Knowing that my work has a real impact on others is what fuels my passion and sets me apart as a creative.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that most people who know me or my work might not know is that I published poetry and learned to play chess at just eight years old. While poetry nurtured my love for storytelling, chess taught me the importance of strategy, patience, and thinking several steps ahead—skills that have become invaluable in my creative journey.

Whether I’m planning podcast episodes, stepping into a modeling shoot, or pursuing voice acting opportunities, I approach my work with the same strategic mindset I learned from the chessboard. Each move is intentional, with an eye toward building something meaningful and impactful. My ability to combine creativity with strategic thinking sets me apart and allows me to navigate the ever-changing landscape of the creative industry with confidence and purpose. These early experiences continue to shape the authenticity and thoughtfulness I bring to my art and my brand.
