Daily Inspiration: Meet Tim Jordan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Jordan.

Hi Tim, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Our founder, Tim Jordan—a lifelong gearhead whose passion for classic cars has been running at full throttle since the age of three. Back then, his parents sparked a sibling rivalry by rewarding the fastest napper of the week with a shiny toy car. Tim called them his “puppies,” and that collection became the spark that ignited a lifetime love affair with automobiles.

Tim’s first real ride? A 1956 Chrysler Crown Imperial, the first stop on a road that would eventually lead to a collection nearly 100 cars strong.

But before the showrooms and car shows, Tim built a career in construction—literally. Following in his father’s footsteps, he began as a carpenter apprentice in 1968. That foundation launched a 50+ year career in the industry, where Tim co-founded a successful barrier rail company. If you’ve driven California freeways, chances are you’ve rolled past some of his work.

Still, cars were always his fuel. His pride and joy? A 1935 Auburn Boattail Speedster, won at an Indiana auction in 1992. For more than two decades, Tim has shared his collection at car shows across the country, bringing home countless trophies and turning heads wherever he goes.

Today, Tim’s lifelong dream has shifted into high gear: opening the Jordan Family Classic Cars and Hot Rod Haven Storage—a place where his passion meets the public. It’s more than a collection; it’s a celebration of history, craftsmanship, and the joy of the open road.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road is never smooth in whatever you choose to pursue….But Tim is all about perseverance. We faced many challenges once we obtained our building, being that it was only a building with 4 walls, no electricity, and no landscaping. Although we hired contractors to put in electricity, plumbing, and landscaping, Tim, with the help of family, did everything else, ie, painting, all decoration, and of course, his beautiful cars.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Tim started his career in carpentry as an apprentice working with several well-known companies in California. Several years later, he and his partner started ACL Construction, a premier barrier rail company that has done most of the rail you see throughout California. This led to Tim being able to purchase many of his unique automobiles shown today at our facility and at many car shows in the area. Tim is most proud of being able to bring these beautiful cars into the lives of young and old alike.
