Daily Inspiration: Meet Sapir Gumerove

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sapir Gumerove.

Hi Sapir, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Thank you for having me and I’m very excited to share my story with you. I moved to the United States from Israel 7 years ago right after I finished serving in the Israeli Army as a commander. I came here knowing very limited English and I didn’t have an easy time adjusting to a new country and culture. Originally, I had planned to come here on vacation and tour the United States but my fate decided otherwise. I met my husband 2 weeks into my visit here, and decided to stay and start a new life in Los Angeles, leaving my family and friends behind.
My journey was extremely tough but I always had big goals and dreams for myself, and I knew that this was my time to make them happen.
Fast forward 7 years, I’m currently married and had my first child 2 years ago with one on the way. I opened my own spa location on Rodeo Drive, I got my license as an esthetician and I am a US citizen.
I was always very passionate about the aesthetic industry. I truly believe that when you feel good with yourself, it shows on the outside. My goal is to make other people feel like they are the best version of themselves.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

It was far from a smooth road. Getting my esthetician license was the best thing I have ever done. School was challenging due to the language barrier, and I had to translate almost every word to Hebrew in order to understand what I was reading. Passing the exam was one of my greatest accomplishments and I proved to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to.
After receiving countless no’s to my job applications, I finally got hired at a spa in Beverly Hills. I worked under a doctor and other highly experienced estheticians who trained and taught me a lot. I used to see 7-8 clients a day and I really learned how to properly run a business by working there. I was getting paid very little so I made the decision to venture off on my own. This was around the time when Covid happened, so I opened a spa outdoors which was the turning point in my career. I spent all of my savings on buying machines and products that would be the best for my clients and after being on my own for a while, building my business, I moved to a location on Rodeo Drive. Finally having my own space feels extremely rewarding.
The last 5 years I worked very hard on building my clientele, I am constantly studying and reading about the best new methods/products that will be the absolute best for my clients. The road to success is paved with many challenges, but that is the only way to grow.
A lot of my clients are or have become lifelong friends. Being an esthetician is more than just a job for me. I do what I love every single day. Being the reason why people love their skin again after years of insecurities is truly the best feeling in the world.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My main focus is to offer a wide selection of therapeutic, corrective and noticeable skin transformations with little to no downtime and painless treatments.
I treat skin concerns such as acne and post acne scarring, wrinkles and fine lines, stretch marks, pigmentation, and fat loss treatments using the most up to date innovations.
I use professional products from clinical and medical grade brands, to completely natural, plant based products.
I create custom design treatments for each client in order to focus on their individual needs. Every person has different skin issues and goals. I also guide them on what to do between sessions for maintenance in order to reach optimal results.
My treatments are constructed by a combination of cutting edge science, the latest technology innovation such as Radio frequency, LED light therapy, microneedling, cavitation, ultrasound and body sculpting.
I truly believe that you don’t need to suffer or wait months before you see results and that is what I bring to the table.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I think I surprise myself everyday, being a full time mom and also working full time has definitely been challenging at times but I have been able to perfectly balance the two.
I always thought that I would maybe have to choose between the two, but my son actually motivated me and pushed me to succeed not only for myself but for him as well. I hope I can inspire other moms to follow their dreams and achieve their goals.
