Today we’d like to introduce you to Rahul Suresh.

Rahul Suresh

Hi Rahul, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started filmmaking because I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I followed my friends right after high school. After graduating with my bachelor’s in film production I went on to make my own stuff to figure out what my style is, and even now I think I’m still on that journey.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
To me it’s been rather smooth, when the work can speak for itself, you only need to find people and market it to them.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I shoot music videos, fashion campaigns, short films, commercials anything really as long as I can get creative freedom. At the moment I’m a director, cinematographer, and editor, I think what makes me stand out is purely my ideas and how I’m able to edit the things I shoot in a very natural and organic way.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
People know me for my cinematography but do not know that I am an even better director, my ability to work with actors is a huge advantage I have because, before coming into film I would sometimes have to work with models who didn’t speak English or know any acting. To get a performance from them made it so much more easier for me when I started working with real actors!
