Daily Inspiration: Meet Olga Avet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Olga Avet.

Hi Olga, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Right now, I work as an AI creator. I create visual campaigns and advertising content for brands, including international clients.

My story actually started about ten years ago, when I got into photography. It’s a pretty classic story — I was on maternity leave and wanted to find something creative to do. I’ve always loved creativity, so I started learning photography and eventually created my Instagram account.

Over time, I moved from photography into videography and started working with brands and creating visual content for them.

Then, when generative AI started becoming more accessible, I became really interested in it and started exploring it more deeply. I realized that AI could completely change the way creative production works.

What I really love about it is the freedom. You’re not as limited by location, equipment, or a big production team anymore. In many cases, one person can now do the work that previously required an entire production studio.

So that’s what I’m focusing on now — combining visual storytelling, creativity, and AI to create campaigns and advertising content for brands around the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, I wouldn’t say it’s been a smooth road.

When I started, I didn’t have a team, and I was building my social media from scratch. Social media was still quite new, and it wasn’t obvious back then that you could find clients through it or turn a blog and creative work for brands into a real career.

I also got into food photography when the industry was still quite young, so there was a lot of trial and error. I had to learn as I went and constantly adapt.

Another challenge was balancing my work with motherhood. I have two children, so I’ve always had to work around their schedules.

I think that’s also what has shaped me professionally: you have to keep learning, stay curious, be open to change, and not be afraid to try something unfamiliar.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I started out in photography, and over time it led me to some unexpected opportunities. I ended up publishing three cookbooks, one of which became a bestseller. I also worked with international brands as a food photographer.

Today, I’m developing more as a filmmaker and AI creator, with advertising and visual campaigns being my main focus. I also create educational programs, which has become one of the parts of my work that I really love. I’ve been teaching for about four years now, and my students often tell me that I’m good at explaining complex things in a simple and accessible way. I think that’s one of my strengths.

But what I’m probably most proud of is something more personal. I never considered myself a creative person. When I was younger, I couldn’t have imagined that creativity would become such a big part of my life and my career.

And now, in a way, my entire professional life is built around it. I create, I teach, I work with brands, and I’m constantly learning new things. I find that transformation really amazing, because it’s not something I ever planned for myself.

What are your plans for the future?
I want to continue developing my career, learning new things and staying open to new technologies and opportunities.

But my main goal right now is to focus more on advertising. I really enjoy this format because it gives me a lot of creative freedom. I love the process of coming up with an idea and turning it into a visual story, especially with the possibilities that AI gives us today.

So I’m looking forward to working on more advertising projects, especially with international brands, and continuing to grow in this direction.
