Daily Inspiration: Meet Mila Nabours

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mila Nabours.

Hi Mila, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started competitive gymnastics at a very young age and stopped at the age of 11 when I switched over to competitive dance! I’m still dancing to this day but no longer competing. When I started dancing at my studio, I found out a lot of my teammates were in the industry and that’s what inspired me to start acting! I began taking acting classes at age 12 and fell in love with it. I‘ve been acting ever since, and I’m now also working on music! I have three songs out on all major platforms and have my first original coming out next month! I am currently in the works of a new acting project, and in the past have been a part of many award-winning films, web series, and commercials.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being in the industry can be mentally challenging, especially when it comes to balancing school and work. Auditions can come at any time, and having a flexible schedule is something I had to adapt to. I started homeschooling in 8th grade, and that dramatically helped me organize my day and not fill my plate too much. Being on social media can be very draining at times as well, but it’s been worth every second.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an actress, singer and dancer. I’d say I specialize in dramatic acting and am known for my award-winning film “Feet of Fire,” where I played the lead role as well as a dancer. I am most proud of my work ethic, I feel like I’ve always been driven to work towards my goals, and I’m very fortunate that I’ve been able to pursue my dreams.

What matters most to you? Why?
My family and friends are my top priority, and this might sound cliche, but without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I am lucky to have people in my life who support and believe in me.
