Today we’d like to introduce you to Lyena Atonyicq.
Hi Lyena, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine — a city that sings even when it’s silent.
Music became my first language before I could even spell my name. I grew up at the piano, pouring my emotions into the keys — joy, loss, wonder — everything. That path led me to earn four master’s degrees in classical piano performance and pedagogy, and to travel the world performing, teaching, and exploring how music touches the invisible parts of us.
Over the years, I’ve realized that music is not just performance — it’s medicine. I’ve seen how a single Chopin nocturne can make someone cry after years of holding it in, or how art can unlock memories words never could. That’s why I created my Trauma Healing Program through Classical Music and Art — a space where children and adults can rediscover safety, imagination, and joy through sound and creativity.
I speak six languages, but honestly, my favorite one is still music — it connects people across cultures, ages, and pain. It’s not about perfection; it’s about resonance — the moment when the soul remembers it’s still alive.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Raising funds which I am doing alone without anyone’s help, money rules as we all know, but I dont let that stop me.I engage incredible classical musicians, artists into my work there’s no problem there, opera singers from Metropolian opera,La Scale help me,but again, its about getting funds to cover all expenses. No other struggles I endure for we are all professionals here and know what we are doing and our mission is clear to us.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is incredible.as a concert pianist I perform everywhere I can, give lectures in nursing homes facilities,I teach at Santyago College and had been teaching on the east coast at Rowan and Temple university I have a lot to say about music and art and now incorporating cognitive fun exercises into my work as well as trauma healing techniques that every child and adults should utilize daily when stressed it is super easy and my goal is to incorporate those in fun animated way into the app/program so you spent few minutes a day and regulate your nervous system while listening to Mozart and learning about Van Gogh art most entertainingly since attention span is nearly zero these days,I make all quick and efficient. I work with animators, actors, and musicians to make the project high-quality (as everything I do) and entertaining for all ages. Youw question what I am known for is playing by ear, anything at the party, concert,I teach piano all ages,(been teaching since 1996) I paint, compose music,I have incredible charisma, personality and sense of humor, I make everyone laugh-this is my answer to that question. As an astrologer and spiritual intuitive I do a lot of healing work, lots of sinastry calculations for my clients and Id say my biggest strength is my aura/energy and caring for people, giving gifts, energy, love.Hard to explain it must be experienced.Enough for now lol
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Yes I study daily and read a lot,I cant list all I listen on YouTube or brag about my spiritual work with Shamans in Peru, Guatemala, there was a lot , let’s say I invested my entire life into myself,(self’made lady) which makes me extremely selective of my environment, but I’ve been lucky to call amazing and talented people like Barbara and Greg MacGillivray. (movie director)my friends. My surroundings are quite refined owing to all the work I’ve done. Now working on helping my country’s people to win the war(Ukraine), its children to regulate their nervous systems, and manifest those millions to build my project that will benefit humans worldwide, since all of us have trauma and all of us like great music and art and would really love to have all in one spot.
