Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Lots of disappointments with recordings not coming through, TV shows not being picked up, and tough financial periods. But with the exception of a handful of people in this business, almost everyone has similar tales. Not letting yourself get discouraged and continuing to work hard is essential.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am proud of all the different hats I have worn in the business, having been a singer-songwriter, TV/Film composer, pianist, musical director, arranger, and music technology consultant and author. I have collaborated with amazing musicians, songwriters and singers. These days, I am really focused on writing and performing my pop songs again, which is what I originally came to Los Angeles to do.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
While I have had notable successes, a really big one that would have moved me to a higher level of success.  On the other hand, I have enjoyed more success than some who probably were more talented but less determined than me. So I am grateful for all the wonderful  experiences I have had over my career.
