Today we’d like to introduce you to Fly Nai

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I go by Fly Nai, and my journey as an artist has been one hell of a roller coaster ride. I come from humble beginnings, born in Indiana. Growing up in a place where there’s not much opportunity, I was blessed to discover my passion for music at a young age. Perseverance, ambition, and my connection with God have led me to the position I’m in today as a rising independent artist. I’m currently in Los Angeles, making my mark and inspiring others along the way to pursue their dreams.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One thing that I’ve learned is that nothing comes easy. Imagine leaving home, missing out on the people you love, losing relationships, and letting love slip away. Turning down job opportunities that provided a good income. Having your freedom be put on the line. Watching the ones closest to you die or be incarcerated all while you pursue this near-impossible goal, your dreams. But through the trials, tribulations, and sacrifices I had to make, God always showed me light at the end of the tunnel. I was able to bounce back every time. Nothing coincidental.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What I do is express myself musically. I’m an artist, producer, and engineer known for my beats and melodic voice. Ninety-five percent of what I do comes from me. The other five percent comes from working with other artists and producers. I feel I got that sound that’s next up and the world needs to hear it.

I was fortunate enough to start my own business, Spread Your Wings Productions, in early 2023 which I’m proud of. With this, I’m able to have my own record label and maneuver more freely in the music industry. A lot of time and effort is acquired so you have to be willing to give it your all and lock in, but the reward is way greater.

My individuality, who I am as a person, brings that uniqueness to my music, and that’s what I think separates me. My main thing is to stay true to myself, no matter the situation or outcome. I truly believe I have a gift from God when it comes to this music thing. The fact that I taught myself to write, record, and produce boosted my confidence in believing that I have a shot of successfully making it, showing that I’m a one-man army. Never give up.

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is making a living doing what you love to provide for yourself and others.
