Daily Inspiration: Meet Everett & Josephine Aponte

Today we’d like to introduce you to Everett & Josephine Aponte.

Hi Everett & Josephine, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
EverJo is an independent production company for Feature Films, short films and online content. EverJo was created in 2019 as an homage to DesiLu – the production company created by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz. By creating entertaining content and quality films, we will prove to be the next Hollywood Power Couple of our age.
Josephine and I met on a film set in Germany for the Action movie “Atomic Eden” starring Fred Williamson and Mike Möller. After moving to Los Angeles Josephine started working as an associate and later Co-Producer for independent Feature Films and I worked as a sales agent for film markets and a production manager.
We have since worked on several feature films including “Bad Impulse” starring Sonia Walger, Grant Bowler and Paul Sorvino, “The Runner” starring Cameron Douglas and Elisabeth Röhm, as well as the acclaimed court-room drama “Miranda’s Victim” starring Abigail Breslin, Ryan Phillipe, Luke Wilson, Emily VanCamp, Mireille Enos, Josh Bowman, Andy Garcia and Donald Sutherland. Our recent film “The Italians” was released earlier this year, starring Abigail Breslin, Matthew Daddario and Rob Estes.
During the pandemic we started our own Production Company: EverJo Entertainment, originally focusing on web-series, with successful shows like “An American Quarantined in Germany” and “Aber Josie”.
We now have several feature films in development and produced the Feature Film “MEAT” and most recently released our latest web-series streaming on YouTube “Time for Dimensional Robin”. Its season in August 2025, with its finale airing on October 25th.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
“Time for Dimensional Robin” is a Screwball Sci-Fi comedy that we created and filmed entirely in our living room.
We created this show knowing we would work with an extremely low budget and that was challenging but it also forced us to expand our creativity and come up with a show that is entertaining and imaginative without leaving our couch.
We are couch-surfing the multi-verse.
Having worked in the industry for a few years we knew how to overcome a lot of challenges, we hired a skeleton crew that we knew we could trust and were able to call in favors from great actors to be guest stars in our show.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
“Time for Dimensional Robin” is such an unusual show. We combine the humor of Rick and Morty with the heart of Doctor Who. Each episode takes place in a different universe and therefore we get to explore so many creative options for story telling. Some episodes have been compared to Quentin Taratino, others to Charlie Chaplin and that makes us incredibly proud.

What’s next?
We hope to take “Time for Dimensional Robin” to Comic Cons around the country and the world and bring the show to bigger audiences and maybe create a second season because there are infinite universes to explore.
But we also have so exciting feature films in development that we look forward to getting on screen.
