Emmanuel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always admired the freedom of expression and the individuality of our creative nature. From a young age I found that the best way for me to express myself is through my art and the way I dress. There are other forms of expression I could use but these are my favorite; the ability to spill all of my emotions and current state of mind into my art and expressing those feelings with my outfits empowers me to be unique and bold at times when I feel misunderstood. This natural artistic ability of expression coupled with my Christian upbringing is what birthed the concept of Forsaken Grail! At Forsaken Grail, our mission is to create sustainable, one-of-a-kind fashion pieces that upcycle materials and portray the complex duality of the carnal world and the spiritual realm. Our goal is to provide our customers with wearable art that makes them feel highly sought-after even if abandoned. To serve as a reminder that no matter your past, the life of sin you may have lead or where you come from you will never truly be Forsaken as long as you believe in the way, the truth, and the life, accepting Christ as your lord and savior. There were many times in my life where I’ve questioned my faith, wondered why we suffer, doubted my self worth and often this was because, I gave into sin, as all humans do. I made choices that lead me down the wrong path, I was choosing hatred over love. I felt lost; Forsaken if you will, until I stopped feeling persecuted by the parameters of rules and judgement casted by others and dove into the word of God and built an honest relationship for myself not based upon the structure of a church or anyone else, but on the structure of my own faith. Now I choose faith over fear, now I live with peace in my heart not because I don’t sin but because I know I am saved and made righteous with the blood of Christ. By means of artistic expression Forsaken Grail empowers you to grow your personal faith in God while being unapologetically yourself. Seek Salvation. This World Is Temporary.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Most struggles I face have been creatively. Unfortunately as an artist I often find myself questioning how my art may be perceived by the public which can hinder organic creativity. However the purpose of this brand is to be bold enough to express yourself unapologetically with the confidence gained from your faith in Christ. Because of this purpose we will prevail and overcome this struggle along with any other obstacle.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in; fashion design, graphic design, multi-media art, sewing, and modeling. The brand is most known for our bold and edgy avant-garde alternative grunge aesthetics contrasting the current mainstream hype in streetwear culture. I am extremely proud to have built a community that resonates with Forsaken Grail’s message, using that platform to shed light on the word of God has truly been a blessing. What sets me apart from others is my faith. While I suggest everyone should seek salvation, I am not only looking for salvation but to be sanctified and used by God for a greater purpose. I am an enthusiast and lover of all art, and as a believer that God is the ultimate Designer I see all life around me as art. Creativity seems to be God given talent and I give all my glory to the most high.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Most people are shocked to find out how huge my appetite can be! On an average day I could easily finish a 4×4 animal style burger with animal style fries and a strawberry shake from in-n-out. If I’m really hungry I’d shamelessly order two off roading 4×4 animals!
