Daily Inspiration: Meet Elisa Victoria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisa Victoria.

Hi Elisa, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a young girl, I looked up to Britney Spears. Literally. My mom worked for her management team. I toured with Britney and always loved her. My heart was taken by showbiz from an early age. Growing up in Titusville, FL. You know, it’s the small-town life, something I can appreciate now, but back then I had to leave. When I turned 18, I immediately moved to Los Angeles, California. And wow, little did I know where my journey would take me. Being young with a lot of creative hobbies is where my journey began. And now at the age of 34, I’m happy to say I finally see my career shifting into something great. I didn’t know how big of a filmmaker/storyteller I was until later in life. Hey! Better late than never.

Of course, 20/20 vision. Looking back, I saw that storytelling has always been with me. Whether it be through a song, book, or a film. My goal has always been to create characters that have a strong point of view. It’s like painting a picture.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Does a smooth road exist? If it does, where??? Haha. I’ve always been the late bloomer in all areas of my life. Being curious about more than one creative endeavor when I first moved to LA (back in 2005) made me not focused. Well, it didn’t help that I truly didn’t know myself, in general, until late 20s. I think it’s a part of the journey, as Miley Cyrus says it, “It’s the climb”. It took time to realize that storytelling is number one. The universe has a funny way of showing, but observe the doors that open and decide to walk through.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m so proud of the projects that are coming out. It’s unfortunate that I can’t talk about any of them! (Ugh, showbiz. Have to wait on the deadline article. If ya know what I mean.) Ah but there is one! And I’m truly proud. My musical, “I’m Gonna Get Married”. Directed by Wendy McColm. I’m truly proud because of the visuals and the music. I haven’t recorded music in over ten years and to fall in love with the songwriting process all over again is a true blessing. “I’m Gonna Get Married” is going to have a summer release. It’s basically me running around in wedding dresses singing about love. Full circles are beautiful, happy music is back in my life.
