Today we’d like to introduce you to Daria Harnaha.
Hi Daria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been passionate about acting since childhood, and that passion only grew stronger when I moved to the United States. Coming here opened doors to opportunities I had dreamed about for years. Very quickly, I began receiving numerous acting offers, especially in the rapidly growing field of Verticals, which is now highly recognized and becoming a major thing in Hollywood and worldwide
Realizing how many opportunities I’ve received recently—and seeing my work become more recognizable—continues to inspire me. Every new role reminds me why I chose this profession, and it motivates me to keep growing, creating, and contributing to the industry I love.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, the beginning was far from easy. I started with small background roles, and I went through hundreds of auditions without receiving a single call back. It was a challenging period, but it taught me one of the most important lessons in this industry: never give up. I understood that success in acting is often about the right moment and the right opportunity, so I kept working, training, and showing up.
Eventually, my persistence paid off. I began meeting the right people, building strong industry connections, and receiving opportunities that aligned with my goals. From that point forward, everything started to grow and move in the right direction.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Over the past year, I have performed major supporting roles in 15 vertical productions, distributed across 10 different platforms. These projects have collectively accumulated tens of millions of views worldwide, allowing my work to reach a global audience and significantly strengthening my presence in the industry.
In addition to my vertical work, I had the honor of being part of the Netflix documentary “Unknown Number: The High School Catfish” which was nominated for Best Documentary Film. Being involved in a project was deeply meaningful and further affirmed my path as an actor.
What sets me apart from others is my genuine passion for what I do. Acting is not just work for me — it is the thing that gives me energy. I can film three different projects in a single day and still feel excited, not tired, because being on set is what makes me feel alive. My dedication, endurance, and ability to stay fully committed no matter how busy the schedule is
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
For me, the most important thing in finding a mentor or building a strong network is to stay active in the industry and surround yourself with people who share the same passion. What worked well was consistently showing up — going to acting classes, workshops, industry events, and sets even when the roles were small. The more you show your dedication, the more people naturally notice you. Another thing that helped me was always staying open, asking questions, and being willing to learn. Sometimes the best mentor appears unexpectedly, but only if you stay present and active in your field.
