Daily Inspiration: Meet Corey McIntosh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey McIntosh.

Corey McIntosh

Hi Corey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Whine & w3rk was created in September of 2021 in Dallas, Texas. We were supposed to actually be attending a fitness event that was canceled a month prior, and since we had already had purchased flights and rooms, we wanted to make sure that we made the most of our trip.

I was already dancing on my social media pages daily which had my social media pages growing daily (from 40k to 100k at the time). I love to dance, and it was just an amazing feeling to be able to express myself in that way, but I never thought I’d actually run a class.

We had 30 people attend our first class in Dallas, and from there, we felt like we had something special… we then began a journey from then on to build something special that could bring smiles and joy to everyone around the globe.

Before bringing Whine & W3rk home to Los Angeles for everyone to experience our thought process was to grow it everywhere else first to help build the anticipation of it coming to Los Angeles.

In 2022, we brought it to LA, and it was a great experience, but we knew we still had work to do. In 2023, the tour took off completely!!! We did 23 events, including 3 Los Angeles camps and numerous east coast classes, including one in Brooklyn, New York, that did over 500 ticket sales!

We can honestly say that moving into 2024, Whine & W3rk is no longer just a class, but it is a worldwide event and experience.

Our Los Angeles event has now quadrupled in attendance, and we are even headed to Montreal & Toronto, Canada, along with London, UK!

We are looking forward to continuing to invest, grow, and build the Whine & w3rk brand, but we know we cannot do it without putting a wonderful smile on people’s faces and giving them the experience of a lifetime

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of our biggest challenges has been finding venues that accommodate us whether it has been with location or occupancy. We have outgrown a lot of spaces, and we are looking for larger venues.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am also an online fitness trainer that helps people achieve their goals through fitness and nutrition to go with the dance class worldwide. I also own a sock-line as well called Macw3rk socks. I’ve been able to build and a grow at a steady pace with everything, but what I am most proud of is my ability to say that I am self-made.

I recently purchased a new home in California for my family, and it’s all been with my businesses that I started from the ground up.

I’ve also helped friends and family members build their brands and dreams along the way, and that makes me feel successful…the conversations and experiences that we have created are priceless.

What does success mean to you?
I define success through your own happiness! If you’re happy, you’ll have a better chance of being successful because I know a lot of people are successful by society’s standards but not happy.
