Today we’d like to introduce you to Cecilia Wang
Hi Cecilia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Ever since i was younger i always wanted to create content but was too shy to do because i didn’t want people to judge. I was also insecure within my skin growing up but around 2021, I started getting confident that i wanted to start posting on my social media and experiment my fashion style and i wanted grow as a person with that.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I was still comparing my body to others and still insecure. Also, I still felt like would people i know real life find me weird for posting like a fashion influencer which I just decided to start a new Instagram for a fresh start.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a small fashion content creator who started posting my outfits on Instagram starting 2021 because i started wanting to experiment fashion and i finally was confident to dress up. Later on, i started outfit dumping my videos on my Tiktok (@lavenderixi). As a flat person, i always felt insecure so posting and sharing others that we don’t need to prevent us from looking out best. I want my audience know that they’re worthy to wear anything they want. What makes me different is that I don’t stick with one style, i rather not put myself in a box where i can’t get out which is why my instagram doesn’t have a certain themed.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
My favorite piece of fashion that my friends think of me is my miff hair clips. Miffy is a Dutch cartoon character white bunny with a ‘x’ as her mouth and something about her, she feels so unique and cute. So in my fashion club or anywhere on campus, people recognize me by my hair clips! My least favorite fashion item would honestly be jorts. It’s not for me but it looks good on others.
