Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryce Ryder.
Hi Bryce, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My entire family is made up of musicians and music lovers so it was no surprise that I jumped into musical theatre in Maryland at 8 years old. I instantly fell in love with the power of live performances combining lights, music, and sets to create unforgettable experiences. Eventually at 12 I came out to LA, where I spent years acting in TV and film before I realized music and pursuing a career as an artist was the perfect storm of everything I had a passion for.
At the end of the day, this might be a newer lane for me in terms of the music industry, but stepping into the spotlight and creating experiences is nothing new. I’ve been an entertainer my whole life, whether that’s on stage, on camera, or now in the studio. Music just happens to be the latest chapter of that same story, and I see it as a natural extension of everything I’ve always been drawn to.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t call the road of my music career smooth, but I also wouldn’t call it rocky, it’s just been the road. The reason things move as well as they do now is because of the team I have around me. I couldn’t pull this off solo, and the whole operation is only as strong as the people behind it, and I’m very grateful that I have such a passionate and talented team supporting me.
That said, I’ve been an entertainer for over 15 years through musical theatre and TV, and that part of the journey was anything but easy. It taught me how to handle rejection, how to keep pushing, and how to adapt skills that carry over directly into the music industry.
The biggest challenge now is momentum. Social media is the main stage for marketing, and it feels like everyone in the world is fighting for the same space. Breaking through that noise and building those first waves of fans is definitely the toughest part of this chapter.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My sound is essentially a blend of the worlds I grew up in. I’m from a small farm town in Maryland, so country music was always around. My dad had me on 80s rock early, and then my teen years lined up with the whole SoundCloud melodic rap wave. My music pulls from each of those lanes, but in a way that feels natural.
What I’m most proud of is that I make music I’d actually listen to myself. My shows are meant to feel like a party I’m throwing, except I’m the DJ and I’m only playing my music. I consider myself a vibes curator, and my main goal is for people to forget about whatever is going on in their lives so they can turn up with me. Whether that’s bumping my music in the car with the windows down, or partying at a live performance.
How do you think about luck?
I think luck is real, but not in the lottery ticket kind of way. To me, most of it comes from the positive mindset you keep and the situations you put yourself in. If you’re constantly negative, you’re not exactly going to stumble into a ton of “lucky breaks.” On the flip side, if you’re out there chasing opportunities, showing up in the right rooms, having an unwavering positive outlook, and putting in the work, the odds tilt in your favor.
So yes, I’ve had moments that looked like luck from the outside, but they’ve always come from seeds I planted years earlier and the mindset i’ve maintained. I’d call it a mix of preparation, positivity, persistence, and just staying open to whatever doors swing your way.
