Daily Inspiration: Meet Beatrice Naymon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatrice Naymon

Hi Beatrice, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I grew up in Los Angeles as a first-generation American, and that experience has shaped so much of who I am. My parents immigrated here from Belarus with nothing but a six-month-old baby and a dream. My dad built an auto body shop from scratch, and my mom spent over 30 years as a dental assistant in Beverly Hills. From them, my brother and I learned what grit, perseverance, and chasing your own path really look like.

As my brother followed in my dad’s footsteps, I wasn’t so sure what I wanted to do. I tried different jobs, went to community college, and explored a bunch of options (I even tried my hand at real estate) — but none of them felt like me. Then one day, my mom casually mentioned, “You’ve always loved skin care.” That little comment lit a fire in me, I couldn’t ignore.

As soon as I started aesthetics school, it felt like I’d finally found my lane. While still studying, I jumped into an internship at Yegi Beauty, a lash salon where I learned how a busy salon runs and even got to travel to other states to teach lash services at local beauty schools. After earning my license, I launched my own lash business — and quickly became known for finishing full extension sets in about an hour (a big advantage in a world where most sets take two to three).

When the pandemic shut salons down, I didn’t want to sit still. I started offering mobile lash and brow services, which ended up opening amazing doors. I got to work with many celebrities and content creators, built an incredible client base, and pushed myself to add new services — a moment that made my parents proud and made me proud of myself, too.

In 2023, just days before giving birth to my son, my life took another dramatic turn: I was involved in a major car accident. While on my way to the hospital, I was frustrated about having to cancel a full day of clients. It was an almost comical reflection of the immigrant work ethic my parents instilled in me (Something I actually laugh about now when I think of it).

Today, I balance the demands of motherhood with the growing beauty business I’ve built, continuing to serve my loyal clients for over a decade. I recently began to expand my knowledge and skills by certifying myself in Spray Tan services as well as still offering eyelash/ eyebrow services by mobile. Some like to think of me as a jack of all trades. I am proud to remain a self-employed beauty professional in Los Angeles, offering exceptional services across the region. As my business continues to grow, I’m excited to see what the future holds for me.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely wasn’t easy getting to where I am today. I struggled to figure out what direction I wanted to take with my career, especially with the constant pressure to work my hardest coming from my family. I even tried my hand at the real estate industry (even though I had no interest) but it wasn’t until I was let go from a family member’s real estate business that I truly started reflecting on what I enjoyed doing every day. Even during my years of learning eyelash extensions and pushing my business further, I also had to learn how to manage myself as a self employed business in a rapidly growing industry. I worked in various salons but still felt like I hadn’t found my own space. It wasn’t until I started offering mobile services that I realized this was where I felt most comfortable.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a licensed esthetician specializing in mobile Eyelash, Eyebrow and Spray Tan services. I offer Microblading for eyebrows which is known as a semi-permanent tattoo to fill in the brow shape. I am also certified to teach eyelash extensions courses to aspiring students and have traveled across various states to teach lash courses. I’ve recently teamed up to work with a beauty concierge service (kind of like UberEats for beauty services) to offer my mobile services more broadly and directly to my clients homes. Please follow my Instagram page to see more of my services and to connect with me. I hope to meet you soon!

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
One of the most important qualities contributing to my success is adaptability. I have shown a strong ability to pivot, whether it was moving from real estate to esthetics or adjusting to offer mobile services. My willingness to listen to my instincts (especially when I’ve been told the word “no” so many times) recognize what works best for me, and evolve my business with new opportunities—like taking new courses and starting my own brand or product line—demonstrates that you can thrive by staying flexible and innovative. This adaptability, combined with learning new skills and focusing on staying dedicated, has been able to get me through any challenges that I had to face.
