Daily Inspiration: Meet Audra Milos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Audra Milos.

Hi Audra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m an Actress, Model, and Comedian. I first got started in Hollywood doing production assistant work on indie film sets, instagram influencer modeling, and doing emcee crowd work for comedians who were about to go on stage. These days, I’ve moved-on-up to speaking roles, being seen on TV & on major streaming networks, getting seen in magazines, and modeling for runway fashion shows. I’m proud of my own career in entertainment.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road to success took many years and hard work, but it was fun and it paid off for me. One struggle I did face, though, was how expensive getting things that you need for your career can be; Headshots, video editing software, casting site subscriptions, gas money or bus money to get to and from auditions… the cost of it all really adds up every single year. I’ve also had a few health scares and was diagnosed with Endometriosis. I had to have a hysterectomy because of a fibroid, and I needed blood transfusions. I went through having untrue rumors spread about me by men who were mad that I wouldn’t flirt with them. I was homeless multiple times, had loved ones pass away, all while I was trying to focus all of my energy on my career. I’m glad that I love myself and I’m able to pull myself back into a healthier space when I need to.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’ve been seen on TV, and I’ve also been on the radio, but I think most people know me more for my internet videos and online modeling photos. Today, I’m most proud of acting as a background extra in a Christmas movie that’s coming out later this year. Getting to be in a movie with stars like Tom Arnold and Andrew Lawrence is still fun for me, even though I was only just a background extra. Us background extras really help bring the scene to life. I’m not trying to be the next world-famous Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox, or Bella Hadid copycat. I think a lot of people assume that about most newer Model/Actresses. It’s great for those people who want to have that level of success, but I just like my own little entertainment career. I think I’m getting better and better at it, each and every time I’m on camera, a little bit at a time, every year. My dream is to continue acting, modeling, and doing stand-up comedy, and to hopefully make okay money and do it on a bigger scale.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I hope that everyone who wants to do art, entertainment, media, & just creativity in general knows that it IS possible. I believe in you, and you deserve a platform and to be seen by others. I wish that everyone was able to afford to live and make art and not have to choose between paying bills or creating something great.
