Today we’re excited to be connecting with Annie Semenova again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Annie, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hi! My name is Annie Semenova and I am a mentor for Hollywood Moms. I help moms launch their kids’ acting careers professionally and in a safe way for more than 5 years now. Successes of my students include kids’ roles on Netflix, HBO, CBS, Apple TV+, Amazon etc. Our kids have worked in commercials for Apple, Facebook, Amazon, Nike, Janie & Jack, Hasbro etc. I am very passionate about helping kids develop their talents, soft skills like confidence, teamwork, focus, creativity and more that will help them in any career path they choose in the future. I do that through a comprehensive online course that teaches moms to become managers for their kids, providing them a step-by-step system and support they need in their journey.
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
I always say that success in acting consists of three things – acting itself, success mindset, and business side of the profession. And all these years I have been providing parents with acting business guidance. But this year I am launching an online international acting school called “Unity Acting School” that will give the opportunity to kids from all over the world to study with Hollywood working actors. However, the mission of our school is to bridge cultural divides and foster global understanding by connecting children from diverse backgrounds through the transformative power of acting. We believe that when children collaborate, create, and play together, they discover our shared humanity, breaking down barriers of difference and planting seeds of empathy, respect, and world peace. By providing a vibrant, inclusive online experience where young actors from around the world can learn, perform, and connect, we aim to nurture a generation of global citizens who recognize that our similarities far outweigh our differences.
I came from Ukraine to America 10 years ago, and world peace is very important to me. I want to contribute to the world by creating a possibility of unity and peace for future generations.

Life is often about tough choices – can you talk to us about your thought process, strategy or philosophy when it comes to making difficult choices or tradeoffs.
The most difficult choice in my life was moving to the USA from Ukraine alone with my 5-year-old daughter, and here are what questions I asked myself prior:
1. Am I making this choice out of love or out of fear? And if it is both – that’s ok!
2. Will I regret that I did not do it when I am old?
3. Does it serve my dream?
4. Does it give more possibilities in life to my child?
5. Are my mind, heart and soul aligned on this?
6. Will it give me more safety eventually?
Answering these questions gives clarity and helps make hard decisions that may be essential. Leaving Ukraine 10 years ago allowed me to save my child from the war, build a new life and business in the USA and helped to save the rest of my family when the war started. Now I can say it was the best decision of my life.
