Today we’d like to introduce you to Vladislav Sheludko.
Hi Vladislav, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started making music at 16. I began with EDM, inspired by Skrillex, and spent those early years learning production from the ground up. As graduation got closer, I realized I didn’t want a conventional job, so I decided to turn music into my career. That decision led me to selling beats online.
I started out making trap and R&B type beats, but over time I moved toward live instruments. Today I play and write the guitars and keys myself, working in indie rock, alternative and darkwave. That shift defined my sound and my audience: dark, melodic, guitar-driven production that artists connect with.
It also changed how people found me. Type beats on YouTube turned out to be the right format for this sound, and over time my beats passed 100 million streams. Today I’m one of the most recognized type-beat producers in the post-punk and darkwave space.
My biggest song to date is Gio. – “mess it up”, which has passed 30 million streams on Spotify. In 2024 I was one of the producers on “Obsessed” from PUN’s self-titled album PUN, which was named Album of the Year in Thailand.
Music is the only thing I’ve ever done professionally. I never had a backup plan, and everything I’ve built came from producing full-time. Now I’m focused on working directly with artists on custom and exclusive productions and growing my name beyond beat marketplaces.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. The biggest challenge was the uncertainty. I decided early on not to take a conventional job, so I had no backup plan and no steady income while I was learning. Everything depended on whether my beats would sell.
The second challenge was finding my own sound. I went from EDM to trap and R&B type beats, and then to live instruments, and each shift meant starting over as a beginner: learning to play and record guitars and keys myself, and building an audience for a different style.
The third was the business side. The type-beat market is crowded, and relying on marketplaces alone means your income depends on platforms and algorithms. It took time to understand that streams and reputation don’t turn into money automatically. That’s why I’ve been moving toward direct work with artists on custom and exclusive productions.
Every one of those problems pushed me to get better and to take control of my own career instead of waiting for it to happen.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a music producer working under the name QUITAll. I specialize in post-punk, darkwave, shoegaze and indie/alternative rock production, and I’m known for dark, melodic, guitar-driven beats that artists use to build their own songs. I’ve worked in the type-beat scene on YouTube for years, and my beats have passed 100 million streams in total.
What sets me apart is that the instruments are real. I play and write the guitars and keys myself, so my production has a live, organic feel that’s hard to get any other way. I started out in EDM and trap, so I also bring electronic production and modern beat-making into a rock and post-punk sound.
I’m most proud of seeing my work reach real audiences. Gio. – “mess it up” has passed 30 million streams on Spotify, and I was one of the producers on “Obsessed” from PUN’s album PUN, named Album of the Year in Thailand in 2024.
My goal now is to keep growing that sound and to work directly with artists on custom and exclusive productions.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something most people don’t expect: I find it hard to work in a studio with other people. For me, music is something intimate, almost private. I write and record best alone, where I can try ideas, fail and start over without anyone watching. Sharing a room with someone while a track is still unfinished feels a bit like sharing a diary.
That’s also why so much of my work happens remotely. I send finished ideas and beats to artists, and the song comes together between us without us ever having to sit in the same room. For a lot of people that sounds strange for someone in a collaborative industry, but it’s how I do my best work.
