Conversations with Spencer Viney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Spencer Viney.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in a small town of Elkins West Virginia. I knew I always wanted to be a successful hairstylist in a big city from a young age. At 18 I moved out and went to beauty school in Morgantown West Virginia. At 22 I moved to Los Angeles with little experience in the hair industry. Within two weeks I was hired as the main assistant to celebrity hairstylist and salon owner Amanda George. I assisted her for a year and after assisted other celebrity stylists before getting hired on the floor at Society Salon. I quickly built my clientele and worked there for 3 years before leaving and opening my private studio in Beverly Hills. I have now had my business for exactly 3 years

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building my business at society seemed effortless with my previous training. Since opening my own space it’s been a learning experience on how to build and run my own business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
