Today we’d like to introduce you to Olga Shatrova.

Olga Shatrova

Hi Olga, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Creativity has always been a part of my life. My passion for design evolved into making clothing and exploring art, which naturally led me to study jewelry technology engineering—a perfect blend of creativity and precision. This background gave me a deep understanding of both artistic craftsmanship and the science behind fine jewelry.

Jewelry is where I truly found my calling. I create every piece with immense love—not just for the craft itself, but for the people who wear my designs. Quality and attention to detail are my top priorities, ensuring that my clients enjoy their jewelry for years to come.

Moving to the U.S. opened up incredible new horizons for me, allowing my brand to grow internationally and reach a wider audience. Seeing the joy my jewelry brings to people continues to inspire me, pushing me to innovate and make the world more elegant, one piece at a time.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey has been all about taking small, steady steps. Before our move, we were fully committed to success, not necessarily thinking about a grand vision or a final destination, but simply doing what we loved. Along the way, we experimented, secured modest investments, and kept moving forward within a limited budget.

However, as we grew and reached a certain level of stability, we realized that we wanted more. We were ready to expand and take a leap into the unknown. The decision itself wasn’t the hardest part—our ambition and drive made it feel natural. But overcoming the challenges that followed was a completely different story.

Moving to a new country meant stepping into an unfamiliar world, not just culturally but in terms of business as well. The way businesses operate, the processes involved, and the approach to growth were all entirely different from what we were used to. Unlike in our home country, where we had an established network and knew how to navigate the system, we arrived in the U.S. with no connections, no relatives, and no pre-existing support system.

Adapting to this new reality required a complete shift in mindset. We had to rethink everything, from our strategies to our understanding of the market. The most difficult part was essentially starting from scratch—again. But despite the challenges, we continued to find new solutions, adjust to the new environment, and push forward. The road hasn’t been smooth, but every obstacle has been a learning experience, shaping us and our business in ways we never imagined.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Jewelry making is my passion. Every step of the process, from selecting gemstones and designing pieces to crafting the final product, is something I approach with precision and love. As a gemologist, I see each stone as a story waiting to be told, and I strive to convey these stories through my creations.

What I am most proud of is the quality of our work—our final product. Despite the challenges of finding the right manufacturers and top-tier artisans, we manage to uphold the highest standards, ensuring that every piece meets both our expectations and the industry’s strictest quality requirements.

What sets us apart is the deep personal involvement in every aspect of the process. I oversee every detail to maintain the highest level of craftsmanship. But beyond that, our brand is built on creating something truly unique—pieces that didn’t exist before. While many brands rely on mass production, we design and develop our jewelry from scratch, creating truly unique pieces. Instead of following an easier, more commercial route, we stayed true to our vision, focusing on artistry and authenticity. For us, this is more than just a business—it’s a calling, and that passion is reflected in every piece we create.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Anyone who starts their own business, especially by creating something unique rather than simply reselling existing products, is already taking a significant risk. Every decision we make—from opening a showroom to investing in a new collection or purchasing rare gemstones—involves uncertainty. Even choosing the right partners carries risk, as human factors can play an unpredictable role. In business, every step requires careful consideration, yet no decision is ever completely risk-free. While we always rely on thorough analysis and strategic planning, there are factors beyond our control that can impact outcomes.

Major risks often involve large investments or bold strategic moves. For us, taking those leaps has been essential to growth. I believe in making decisive choices that have the potential to reshape the future, even when the outcome is uncertain. Risk can be daunting, but it is also what makes business exciting. Each challenge brings new opportunities, and embracing them with a clear vision and adaptability is what ultimately leads to success.
