Conversations with Naila Lea

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naila Lea.

Naila Lea

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story started when I moved to LA in 2013 from Armenia.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I found myself in the jungle of what you call life, alone, in the world of adults, seeking myself and trying to find my truth.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do improv comedy throughout Los Angeles; I also sing/rap, although I don’t consider myself to be a singer, more like a performer and one who likes to entertain people or shock them just a little (jk) through improv comedy and through my way of thinking and expressing myself, how I do it. I am most proud of being true to myself, true to my beliefs and values.

I am proud of knowing myself and not being afraid to follow my heart and my dreams.

What sets me apart is who I am. I am unique in my kind just like all of us, humans, and what I do is I give voice to my uniqueness as I am very eager to find out all the way who am I and what I am made of, I interest myself haha if that makes sense.

I have a new single/music video that should be out by the time this article airs on all major platforms – “Savage” by Naila Léa.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
Oh, I am definitely a risk taker; I cannot survive without it; it’s my dose of adrenaline, plus you can’t play if you ain’t willing to bet, The stakes are high, babe; this is it, the life that I came for. I’ve taken major risks; I think it was quite a risk the mere fact of me taking that plane to America without knowing where and what I was coming to on top of that having like a complete baby mindset, haha. I was very naive, maybe still am;) but it was kind of good for me. I learned life.

LA was like a jungle that could swallow me whole any moment, so I had to learn how to fight back cos I couldn’t go back; giving up on myself and my dreams would be death, so I chose to fight, haha, I am so dramatic.
