Conversations with Milan Bush

Today we’d like to introduce you to Milan Bush.

Milan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I moved from Ukraine to the US about four years ago. During my first few years here, I was trying to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. I tried different jobs and explored different paths, but modeling was the one that really caught my attention.

I saw potential in myself and decided to join a program by Sabina Kravchenko called “Become a Model.” She really helped me take my first steps in the industry at a time when I felt a little lost and didn’t know exactly where I was going.

From there, my modeling career started to grow. I began working with different agencies, and currently I’m with Genetics Models Management and Become Model Agency.

At the same time, I started seeing a lot of opportunity in content creation. I realized that building my own audience could help me grow my personal brand, get more exposure, and create opportunities beyond modeling. It started going pretty well pretty quickly, so I decided to take it seriously too.

Right now, I’m 17 years old, working as a model and content creator, and still figuring out how far I can take both.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of my biggest challenges was my English and especially being insecure about my accent. When I moved to the US, I had to adapt to a completely different environment, understand American culture and people, and learn how to communicate confidently.

Modeling was another challenge because the industry requires a lot of patience. Things don’t happen immediately. Before I got signed with an agency, I spent a lot of time working on myself, improving my appearance, confidence, posing, and understanding how the industry works. There were many moments when I was just waiting for an opportunity without knowing when it would come.

School was also part of the challenge. I had to learn how to stop caring so much about other people’s opinions and judgment, especially when I started modeling and creating content. Not everyone understands what you’re trying to build, especially when you’re young.

I think all of these experiences made me more independent and confident. I’m still learning and growing, but now I understand that progress takes time, and sometimes you just have to trust the process and take it easier.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a model and content creator. I’m currently signed with Genetics Models Management and Become Model Agency. As a model, I’ve been focused on developing myself, building my portfolio, working with different photographers and creatives, and gaining more experience in the industry.

At the same time, I’m building myself as a content creator. For me, content creation is not separate from modeling, they work together. Modeling gives me experience, connections, and stories to share, while social media gives me a way to build my own audience and personal brand instead of depending only on agencies or castings.

What I’m most proud of is how much I’ve been able to build at a young age. I’m 17, I moved to the US from Ukraine, had to adapt to a completely different environment, and started my career here from zero.

I think what sets me apart is that I don’t want to limit myself to just one direction. I want to combine modeling, content creation, acting, and eventually business. I’m still at the beginning of my career, but I’m very ambitious about where I want to take it.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m always open to new opportunities and collaborations. For modeling, I’m interested in working with brands, photographers, designers, and other creatives on campaigns, photoshoots, and creative projects. I’m also open to acting opportunities and projects that can help me grow in that direction.

As a content creator, I’m open to working with brands that fit my lifestyle and personal image. I’m especially interested in fashion, fitness, lifestyle, and other creative collaborations where I can bring my own personality and ideas into the content.

The best way to support me is simply to follow my journey, share my work, or reach out if you think we could create something interesting together. I’m always interested in meeting new people and building connections.
