Conversations with Michelle Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Beach.

Michelle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was growing up, I had sisters that were much older than me. They were out of the house when I was very young, so I grew up like an only child in a sense. It was just my mom and I, so Tv shows and movies were my friends, my escape. I watched a lot of old films and classic leading ladies. I dreamed of being able to do what they did. I would watch the films dress up and act out the scenes for my family. I picked it up really quickly. I learned how to emulate their body language and speech patterns. I loved it! I always wanted to entertain people, dress up and be center stage, you know the center of attention, but in a good way. I set it aside for a while after my son was born to pay the bills, but I was always dreaming of ways to break into the acting world. I even took some acting classes in LA, but I kind of flamed out of that and went back to just trying to find opportunities on my own. When I met my acting coach G Anthony Joseph things really changed for me. He taught me discipline and technique, really helped me focus and build my skill sets, I love delving into a new character, and doing research, becoming that person, pushing myself to dig deep its weird because the character becomes me and I become them. I really try hard to get into my characters head so to speak. Acting makes me happy it’s what I’m good at and what I love to do. I only hope someday I get to share it with the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth road? Does anyone ever answer yes to that question? No not a smooth road. You know what, it turns out rejection is really hard! Your family and friends even though they are well meaning try to talk you out of it. They try to convince you to get a plan B. You know, just in case that acting thing doesn’t work out. But I know this is what I want to do. To be an entertainer. Anything else would take away time and energy from my craft. there is no plan B for me I want to be an actor that’s it. I have tried in the past to do other things modeling, dancing, social media influencing, those types of things but acting is where it is at for me. There is nothing else I would rather do, so I continue to go out there and not get that part and feel that rejection. I mean it’s great for growth don’t get me wrong. You take it you turn it around. you see what you can do better next time. But I would say for me the road has definitely not been easy. But I still won’t give up.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an up-and-coming actor. I have been getting cast a lot as the antagonist as well as the hero. I don’t want to brag but I am not just another pretty face in Hollywood. I dig deep. Early on while preparing to film my first reel as an attorney I immersed myself in the role by spending the day inside a real courtroom, speaking with lawyers and observing proceedings to capture the subtleties of the profession. That same dedication carries into every performance, including a recent audition and workshop where I stepped into the complex mindset of a criminal psychologist. I was given the time to master the intricate and intense dialogue as well as do very in-depth research. As a result, I felt something pretty spectacular was produced. Beyond acting, dance has always been another great love. Drawn to the beauty and tradition of middle Eastern dance from a young age I studied through teachers but for the most part taught myself. For a time, this passion even became a profession performing at private events. I just love performing being in front of a crowd and making people happy. of all the things I have done the thing I’m most proud of is being a parent. Having raised my son as a single parent, I consider him the greatest source of pride and inspiration. Like his mother, he has a natural love for dance, performance, and the arts. He is my pride and joy. Together we have navigated life’s challenges with resilience and joy, building a bond that reflects the strength, creativity, and heart that I feel I bring into every facet of my life and career.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I really admire the spirit of old Hollywood the way actors used to carry themselves, the discipline they had, the way they prepared for roles. there was this kind of timeless elegance and craft in how films were made back then. I find that really inspiring, and I wish more of that energy still lingered today. But of course, like anyone living here, I can’t ignore some of the tougher realities, the homeless crises is heartbreaking, the traffic feels never ending, and the cost of living can be overwhelming. It’s a city full of dreams but it definitely comes with its own set of challenges.
