Hi Maribel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Lucky Catrina Co. started because of my dream of owning my own business and my keen eye for fashionable accessories. I had always spinned on ideas for my small business and struggled to find what I was passionate about. That was until I noticed more and more that those closest to me would compliment my jewelry pieces and ask for accessory recommendations as they felt they could trust my opinion. This sparked my idea to start my small business as jewelry and accessories were one of my passions. At Lucky Catrina Co., we take great pride in curating exquisite jewelry pieces that are as unique as everyone. Whether someone is searching for a stunning necklace, a sparkling pair of earrings or a timeless bracelet, our collection is designed to captivate and enhance everyone’s personal style.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some of the struggles I’ve experienced in growing my small business that I’m managing through or still am figuring out is creating a workflow for inventory, finding good pop-up event markets to be a vendor with, and creating brand awareness. When you start a business, you wear many hats to support the different roles larger companies can afford. As a small business owner, you need to work extra hard to move things along in the right direction.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Lucky Catrina Co. we offer a variety of jewelry styles for everyone! We mainly stock stainless steel 18K gold plated, silver, titanium, and tungsten jewelry. That is very durable. We also sell hair accessories; such as headbands, hair clips, and hair ties. We’re most proud of the high-quality products and unique, eye-catching designs that garner praise among our clientele. We also stand apart from others in the durability, style, and competitive prices for the quality of our products. Most importantly, the customer experience and satisfaction to meet personal requests and needs. We also make customized necklaces, bracelets, and anklets by request, and if a customer is looking for a specific piece of jewelry, we make it our mission to provide what they’re looking for.

What matters most to you? Why?
Customer satisfaction is key! It is most important because we want our customers to be happy with their quality products! Also, satisfied customers will recommend us to their friends and family, and nothing beats word-of-mouth recommendations to help a business grow. We’ve been lucky enough to have loyal customers who continue to come back for our products.
