Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Piya.
Hi Linda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was inspired to become a personal trainer when my passion for fitness become a lifelong journey, that is when I knew I wanted to change lives. Fitness is not about the physical aspects but also internally and mentally. My goal is to educate and guide people to live a healthier and stronger life in a sustainable way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Personal training is a very rewarding career but it definitely has it tough moments. Experience has definitely been the best teacher for me and I am still learning every day.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been a personal trainer since 2017, and I plan to do this for the rest of my life because I truly enjoy helping clients improve their health (mentally and physically) one day at a time. I am proud of what I can do for each client because everyone has different goals and abilities. I will listen and guide them based on what they can do and what they want to do, not what I want. I consider all of my clients to be a part of my family and I will go the extra mile for them.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I first started off working as a personal trainer at a corporate gym. The scariest thing for me to do was to leave and to not have the stability for work hours and a guaranteed paycheck every two weeks. I knew my heart was set to become a private personal trainer and build my business. I reminded myself that the grass is greener where you water it. I took that leap and the only thing I regret is not doing it sooner!
