Conversations with Kiran Muzammil

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiran Muzammil.

Hi Kiran, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in science in 2014, I began working as a counselor at a psychiatric hospital while also managing my family’s businesses. Though I loved helping others, I realized it wasn’t my long-term career path. In 2020 the pandemic hit, and in the same year, I faced the heartbreaking loss of my younger sister Amber. Grieving deeply, I eventually made the decision to reclaim my life and live with purpose in honor of my sister.
One day, a friend introduced me to brow threading, and I discovered a natural talent and passion for it. I quickly picked it up, began training, and completed a year-long apprenticeship in cosmetic tattooing. After becoming certified, I started offering brow services and eventually began teaching students how to do brows. Thanks to word of mouth and marketing, business grew, and today I work from three locations my private in home studio in Torrance, My Little Beautique located in Culver City & Brow Arc located at Del Amo Mall in Torrance. It’s been a challenging yet fulfilling journey that shows with passion and perseverance, anything is possible!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road, and I don’t think any meaningful journey ever is.

Starting a new career in the beauty industry was both exciting and intimidating. I had no formal business background in this field, so I had to learn everything from scratch. Techniques, certifications, client building, marketing, and finding balance between 3 locations.

But every challenge helped shape me. My sister’s memory gave me strength, and my passion for brow artistry gave me purpose. With hard work, community support, and perseverance, I turned what was once a painful chapter into something beautiful and empowering.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a certified cosmetic tattoo artist specializing in Powder Brows, a soft, natural-looking technique designed to enhance and define the brows. Alongside cosmetic tattooing, I offer a full range of brow and lash services including brow threading, brow lamination, brow tint, brow mapping, and lash lifts.

My approach is all about enhancing natural beauty while helping clients feel confident and empowered. I believe brows are one of the most expressive features of the face, and with the right shape and definition, they can truly transform a person’s look and even their confidence.

Whether you’re looking for a low-maintenance brow solution or just want to elevate your natural features, I’m passionate about delivering personalized, detail-focused results.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The beauty industry, especially in brow and cosmetic tattooing, is evolving rapidly and I see some exciting shifts ahead.

First, natural, customizable beauty is becoming the gold standard. Clients are looking for results that enhance their unique features rather than completely transform them. Techniques like Powder Brows will continue to grow in popularity because they offer soft, natural results with less trauma to the skin and a longer-lasting finish

Overall, I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and adapting as the industry becomes even more innovative and client-focused.
