Conversations with Kevin Ross

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Ross.

Kevin, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Originally from Kansas City, I’ve been in the entertainment industry for 14 years. The acting bug first bit me in 8th grade when I received a standing ovation for my performance, and from that moment on, I knew this was my passion. I went on to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, navigating the ups and downs of the industry throughout my 20s. Despite the challenges, my persistence has kept me in the game, landing small roles and steadily building my IMDB credits. Now a proud SAG member, I’m focused on creative projects that will establish my presence in Hollywood.

Comedy is my jam, and I’ll soon be joining the Groundlings in LA to sharpen my skills. Beyond acting, I’m also part of a music duo called Contrabxnd. As an LGBTQ+ artist, I bring a unique perspective to my work, always approaching challenges with positivity and determination. No matter what, I keep pushing forward—because storytelling, in all its forms, is what I’m meant to do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth journey but I feel my perseverance has kept in interesting. I have had to battle almost homelessness at some point.

With a strong background in improv and musical theatre, along with commercial experience and an international film credit in China, I take pride in my longevity and unwavering passion for acting. My charm and quirky personality sets me apart, keeping my love for the craft alive.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
That I have an orange tabby cat. I have had him for 6 years and I love him!
