Today we’d like to introduce you to Irina Antonenko.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My life is a colorful tapestry woven with threads of passion and self-expression. From a young age, I was drawn to the world of performing, and my journey has been an incredible transformation of that lifelong fascination into a rewarding career.
As an actress and model, I’ve had the privilege of being part of over 20 international films and TV shows, each project contributing to my growth as an artist. Most recently, I had the honor of gracing Hollywood with my presence in films like “Gasoline Alley” and “Taken from Rio Bravo.” These experiences have allowed me to showcase my versatility and share my talent with a global audience.
But there’s more to me than just the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry. My passion extends beyond the stage and the runway. Together with two of my dearest friends, Kalina and Lauritta, we embarked on a new creative adventure by opening a flower boutique, Lemoori. It’s not just a business; it’s a canvas for our artistic vision. We aim to create beauty and moments of celebration for others, all while infusing our style and modern sensibilities into every arrangement.
Whether I’m performing in front of a camera, strutting down the runway, or arranging flowers with my friends, I bring a dynamic energy and presence that draws people in. There’s an uncontainable joy that comes from expressing myself and spreading happiness through my work, be it in the world of entertainment or the floral boutique we’ve built with love and care.
I’m not just an actress and model; I’m an artist and an entrepreneur. My story is one of relentless pursuit of creativity, passion, and the belief that there are no limits to what I can achieve if I put my heart and soul into it. I’m Irina Antonenko, and I’m on a mission to make the world a more beautiful and joyful place.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As a child, I rarely heard that I was beautiful or special. I grew up in a very traditional family. I started working at 13 so I could buy nice things. I’ve always been a dreamer, and despite working hard, I enjoyed every step of my journey.
When I eventually pursued an acting career, I wanted to prove that I wasn’t just a cute face but a skilled actress with a lot to share from my life experiences. I worked hard, and I reached my goal. As a result, every role I played featured interesting characters with deep, compelling souls.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Some people may recognize me from the following films:
“Break”
“Gasoline Alley”
“Taken from Rio Bravo”
I moved to the United States in March 2020 and worked on these movies, even though I didn’t speak English when I first arrived, and I didn’t have any connections in this new place. I made the bold decision to begin a fresh chapter in my life here, effectively starting from square one. This endeavor was particularly challenging given the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my most cherished childhood recollections is the time I spent with my grandmother. We spent the whole night watching spooky movies and indulging in enormous sandwiches.
