Today we’d like to introduce you to Hayden Crosby
Hi Hayden, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Before starting my own brand 4 years ago, I worked in the design trenches for over a decade. From floral design, designing high-end wedding and events, working at a design center for new construction homes, and staging homes all around LA for realtors. Each one of these jobs was back braking work but also brought uniquely creative opportunities and influences which shaped my talents in unexpected ways. Now I work magic on projects and budgets of all sizes, and feel just as confident in sourcing a $20,000 rug as I do a $20 set of bookends.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Leaving a secure job and paycheck is never easy. Taking the risk to work for myself was a big leap of faith. There was a lot of unglamorous work in order to prove myself. This sometimes meant assembling furniture from Wayfair or hanging a client’s wallpaper myself, just to make a project work with tight budget. This reflects in my work today as I am always looking for ways to maximize the gains with any budget.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an interior designer who strives to design unique interiors that will have a positive impact on my client’s lives.
I am a good listener, and have a client centered approach. I lean into timeless styles, quality materials, and soothing textures, but I also love surprises. I try to innovate with every project, creating something that is personal to the client, and not necessarily found on every Pinterest board. I am known for coming to my homeowners with some fun detail that seems a little impossible. To accomplish this I have designed all manner of things…stained glass pieces, custom furniture, custom textile pieces and commissioned pieces of art. I tend to make more work for myself but I love the results.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Some of my fondest childhood memories are the days my mom would take my sister and me on little adventures to thrift stores and antique malls. It felt like treasure hunting, and she showed us how to spot hidden gems—those timeless pieces that had their own stories to tell. I loved learning how to weave vintage items into modern spaces, creating a beautiful contrast that brought character and warmth to every room. There’s something so magical about mixing the old and the new, giving a space its own unique charm and soul.
