Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyra Aggarwal
Hi Cyra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began with an immense love for reading and writing that I had ever since I was a kid. I always found comfort in stories, as they were my way of escaping, inspiring myself, and understanding the world. I started publishing blogs on my thoughts about books and life when I was 10 years old. This passion has grown into The Literary Vault, a book blog I launched in 2022 to connect readers and authors through reviews, interviews, and discussions.
Throughout these years, I have had the opportunity to interview wonderful authors and to run initiatives like The Literary Spotlight, which intends to bring readers closer to a manuscript. In 2024, I expanded further with The Literary Vault Book Box: a subscription box that celebrates diverse authors and storytelling.
Through it all, I’ve realized how impactful stories can be—not just in entertaining us but in shaping our perspectives and connecting us on a deeper level.
It’s been a whirlwind of growth, learning, and creativity, and I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Well, it has been anything but straightforward-it was pretty more like a convoluted trail with a lot of twists and turns. One major challenge was managing school alongside everything else I am passionate about. Add homework, projects, and extracurriculars, and some overwhelmingness is sure to happen. Add managing The Literary Vault, running the book box, and pursuing some other projects, and one sometimes feels that the hours in a day just are never enough.
Another struggle is battling self-trust. It is quite easy to question whether all you are doing is enough or if you are well on your way to arguing that one is just too overloaded. There were some times I felt that I was suffering from falling behind, not giving my all to everything I did.
But it has been keeping me organized, setting realistic goals, and reminding myself why I started in the first place that has helped me over the hump. My love for books, writing, and helping others keeps me grounded. Plus, leaning on my support system-my friends, my family, and my mentors-who always encourage me, has helped me.
Yes, a few ups and downs are like these tough phases, but the growth and opportunities along the way have made it all worth it. I’ve learned that with every struggle, one tends to learn some real lessons and move closer towards achieving their targets.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I run The Literary Vault, a book blog that has grown into so much more than I could have ever imagined. It’s a place where I celebrate books, authors, and storytelling in all their forms. One of the highlights of this journey so far has been the series The Literary Spotlight, where I get to interview authors and share their stories with readers and aspiring writers. I also started a business for The Literary Vault Book Box. What I think separates me is that it means so much on a personal level. Everything I do is just from my love for the books and a real passion to connect with others who feel the same. It is more than just reading, but about building a community that thrives on creativity, stories, and inspiration.
One of the moments I’m most proud of was being recognized as a SheInspires Champion of Culture nominee and a Read Charlotte Hero. It reminded me that the work I’m doing really matters, whether it’s encouraging someone to dive into a book or helping a young writer find confidence in their words.
It means to me just creating a place where people can fall in love with stories and see the magic they hold. Whether curated book boxes, author interviews, or just sharing my excitement about a great story, I want to inspire others to explore their passion for reading and writing.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are so many ways to connect, collaborate, or support what I do! Whether you’re an author, a reader, or someone who shares a passion for storytelling, I’m always open to new ideas and partnerships.
For authors and publishers, I’d love to feature your work on The Literary Vault through reviews, author interviews, or promotions. I’m always looking for unique stories to spotlight and share with my audience.
If you’re a reader, your support means the world—whether it’s engaging with my blog posts, following The Literary Vault on social media, or subscribing to The Literary Vault. Every like, comment, or message reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.
For fellow creatives or organizations, I’m open to collaborations that inspire readers, promote literacy, or give back to the community. Whether it’s hosting events, brainstorming campaigns, or co-creating content, I’m all about working together to make a bigger impact.
The easiest way to support is to spread the word! Share the blog, recommend The Literary Vault to your bookish friends, or connect with me on social media. And if you have an idea or just want to say hi, feel free to reach out—I’d love to hear from you!
Together, we can keep celebrating the power of stories and building a community that loves and supports the magic of books.
