Conversations with Cinzia N

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cinzia N.

Hi Cinzia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off as a beauty makeup artist in Chicago. I relocated to Los Angeles to expand my career into the music and entertainment industry. Unfortunately, when the pandemic hit, it became difficult to find work as there just weren’t many makeup jobs available. This is when I decided to refocus my energy and showcase my personal occult practice and join the online witch community.

It is here that I developed a strong following and received incalculable requests to share my wares with the public. This inspired me to open ComaVVitch, my online occult and witchcraft store. After several months of staggering success, I then took ComaVVitch to the occult/goth/horror market circuits. This is where I feel ComaVVitch really came into its own. In only a year, I’ve had the opportunity to vend at some of the largest and most prestigious LA area markets and conventions.

However, I did not want to settle and felt I could do more. This is when my husband and I teamed up to host our own market experience, Blasphemeet: a market ritual to celebrate all things that exist in darkness. Even though I have experienced success with ComaVVitch, the entrepreneur, I have never lost sight on ComaVVitch the artist. In addition to operating my shop, I still work as a beauty and FX makeup artist in Los Angeles, with a strong focus on working with musicians and on music videos.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Anything worth having takes a lot of work. And there are absolutely obstacles along the way. Whether it is a global pandemic, or even just a bad night at a show or on set, things go wrong. But it is more important that I adapt and move forward. Obstacles and struggles cannot make me lose sight of my goals, so I accept them but find ways to work through them.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
To be honest, I feel like I specialize in a few things. I specialize in high-style beauty makeup, men’s grooming, FX, handmade occult goods, etc. I’ve always been known for my whimsical makeup looks. On TikTok, I’m known for being funny. I would also say that I receive a lot of recognition for my vegan lifestyle and how I apply cruelty-free ethics in not only my diet but also my makeup artistry and occult practice/products.

How do you think about happiness?
Not much makes me happier, professionally, than seeing my makeup work on screen. I take a lot of pride in everything I do, and seeing it “in action” is such a wonderful feeling. I’m also really happy about the fact that I’m self-employed, which gives me a lot of time to spend with my family.
