Conversations with Axel Muñiz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Axel Muñiz.

Hi axel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Axel Muñiz, and I’m a Mexican singer and songwriter.

My story with music began at a very young age, largely thanks to my grandfather and my father, who are both incredible artists. Growing up around them gave me the opportunity to experience music from the inside and taught me how exciting and powerful this industry can be.

At the age of 20, I had the opportunity to sign with one of the major record labels, and that was the beginning of an incredible journey. Since then, my career has been filled with experiences that have helped shape me as both an artist and a person. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with amazing artists such as Alexandra Stan, Juan Magán, Joey Montana, Maite Perroni, Alex Ubago, and many others.

I also had the opportunity to explore acting through the Netflix series GO! Live Your Way. It’s a musical series created for a young audience, and after its release, we had the chance to take the project beyond the screen and onto the stage. We performed more than 15 shows across Argentina, finishing the tour with two concerts at the iconic Luna Park in Buenos Aires. It was an unforgettable experience.

Music is the most important thing in my life. Songwriting has always given me a way to express my feelings without filters. When I write, I love drawing inspiration from my own experiences, but also from stories I hear from other people. I think there’s something very special about turning a feeling or a moment into a song and then discovering that someone, somewhere, can relate to it.

Right now, I’m preparing a 14-track album, and I honestly feel as excited as I did when I released my very first song. There’s something about this project that feels like a new beginning for me.

This album is especially meaningful because it reflects where I’ve been, what I’m experiencing right now, and where I want to go next. It represents different moments and emotions in my life, but also the artist I’m becoming.

My biggest dream is to take my music to as many countries as possible, connect with people from different parts of the world, and hopefully inspire others to keep going after what they want, no matter how many times they have to try.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the music industry, just like in life, there will always be obstacles that can make you question yourself or even try to slow you down\. For me, the most important thing has always been to believe in yourself, trust your vision, and stay true to what you want to express through your music\.

My career has been a journey filled with doubts, challenges, and obstacles, but I’ve learned to overcome them with time, patience, perseverance, and, above all, the love I have for what I do\.

I think one of the biggest challenges as an artist is finding your own sound and your own identity — discovering what makes you unique and then finding a way to genuinely connect with people through your music\.

Every song I have the opportunity to write feels like another chance to get closer to my dreams\. That’s why I keep creating, evolving, and trying again and again\. I’ve learned that sometimes the journey takes longer than you expect, but as long as you believe in what you’re doing, you have to keep going\.
