Conversations with Anmar Bajaba

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anmar Bajaba.

Hi Anmar, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I want to take a moment to share with you the journey I have been on since 2015 when I embarked on a life-changing adventure from Saudi Arabia to the United States.

It all began with my enrollment at Kaplan International School, where I dedicated myself to studying English. After successfully passing the exam, I found myself at a crossroads, contemplating what I should pursue for my Master’s degree. After careful consideration, I made the decision to join the New York Film Academy to pursue my passion for filmmaking.

At that time, the film industry in Saudi Arabia was in its infancy, with limited resources and opportunities. However, armed with determination and the never-ending potential of YouTube, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and growth. During my time in Los Angeles, I had the privilege of participating in over 25 films, each experience teaching me invaluable lessons and pushing me to my limits.

I am proud to share that my dedication and hard work paid off, as I was fortunate enough to win accolades at numerous festivals both in Los Angeles and Saudi Arabia. This recognition further fueled my passion for the film industry and solidified my decision to return to Saudi Arabia to contribute to its growing cinematic landscape.

Since my return, I have been actively involved in various projects within the film industry. I have had the opportunity to work on sports productions, staging and producing more than 150 matches, both locally and internationally. While the work has been demanding and filled with challenges, the rewards have been immeasurable.

In addition to sports productions, I have also delved into theater, feature films, and magazine shows on the Shahid net platform. These ventures have allowed me to further expand my skillset and contribute to the diverse media landscape of Saudi Arabia.

I wanted to share this journey with you as an expression of my passion and dedication to the film industry. I am constantly seeking new opportunities to grow and learn, and I believe that by connecting with like-minded individuals, we can create wonders together.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I have been actively engaged in maintaining a high GPA while simultaneously working in the film industry and working on my feature film. Although the road has not been easy, I am proud to say that I have been able to overcome various challenges and achieve notable success.

Firstly, the competition I faced during this period was fierce. However, I am thrilled to inform you that I persevered and managed to exceed my own expectations. Through dedication, hard work, and a commitment to excellence, I was able to achieve commendable results in my academic pursuits.

Furthermore, I embraced the opportunity to broaden my horizons by learning from international individuals. While the diverse perspectives and backgrounds brought their own set of challenges, I found great value in this experience. It has not only enhanced my knowledge but also fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation for cultural diversity.

Throughout my career, I have acquired exceptional multi-tasking abilities while leading multi-functional teams in delivering high-quality work. I have had the pleasure of working on a number of notable projects, including the Saudi Cup for horses with the attendance of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, as well as with the Ministry of Sport in the creation and distribution of a magazine show on Shahid. Additionally, I have worked on the production of 150 games, both locally and internationally FIFA.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Nothing pacific. I work hard and people see that I encourage them to do more and more.
