Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Knoche

Hi Andrea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My podcast, From Mrs. to Ms., was born out of a major life change—leaving a 20-year marriage after realizing I wasn’t in love with my partner. Post-divorce, I ventured into dating, discovering a world vastly different from what I knew before marriage. Online dating became the norm, with a sprinkle of organic connections. Then the pandemic hit, making the dating scene even more challenging.

After countless funny and wild dating adventures, I started sharing my stories with friends and family, who found them hilarious and fascinating. Even strangers were intrigued! Tired of retelling the same stories over and over, I decided to create a podcast to share them with a larger audience.

Since its launch in March 2023, From Mrs. to Ms. has grown beyond my wildest dreams, with over 145,000 downloads and counting. What began as lighthearted dating stories has evolved into a podcast focused on relationships. While I’m not yet an expert or certified in the field, I’m passionate about bringing expert insights to my listeners.

Every Tuesday morning, a new episode drops, featuring incredible guests like therapists (specializing in family, marriage, and relationships), sex experts, personal trainers, psychics, and relationship coaches. It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m thrilled to share it with you!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, the journey has been smooth, but it hasn’t been without its challenges. At one point, I brought on a co-host, but I didn’t set clear expectations or put the proper agreements in place to ensure a balanced partnership. This led to us parting ways in October 2023. Since then, my focus has been on maintaining consistency—I’ve made it a priority to release an episode every single week without fail.

One of the biggest challenges, however, has been monetizing the podcast. Like many podcasters, I dream of seeing it grow beyond my wildest expectations and ideally joining a network like “Dear Media”. In the meantime, finding sponsors and boosting engagement has been a bit of a struggle. Still, I’m confident that with persistence, consistency, and my unwavering belief in what I’m building, success is just around the corner.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Here’s a little backstory: I spent over 20 years in the mortgage industry as a Processing Manager, but in December 2023, I was laid off due to the shifting nature of the business. I decided to take a few months off to explore new ventures, with plans to return to mortgage in the spring of 2023. However, the industry took longer than expected to bounce back, and during that time, I discovered a new passion that truly lights me up.

My dream is to work in the entertainment industry—as an entertainment host, talent agent, casting assistant, or even a top podcast host. I’d be thrilled with any of these opportunities! While adjusting to life without a full-time salary has been financially challenging, the chance to follow my passion and pursue my dreams feels like an incredible gift.

I believe wholeheartedly that with hard work, consistency, and persistence—and by staying open to every opportunity that comes my way—I will build a successful career in entertainment. It’s a leap of faith, but one I know will be worth it.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I could look at getting laid off and losing my co-host as a streak of bad luck—or I could see it as a blessing in disguise. At the end of the day, what truly matters is persistence, consistency, and my unwavering faith that God has bigger plans for me than I could ever dream of.
