Conversations with Affamé

Today we’d like to introduce you to Affamé.

Hi Affamé, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve been making clothes for about 6 years now, but I’ve been taking it seriously for around 3. I started off by buying a sewing machine and teaching myself everything—watching YouTube videos, learning how to read and use patterns, and just figuring it out piece by piece.

As I kept creating, I found a real love for working with leather and denim—materials that feel raw, durable, and expressive. They became a core part of my identity as a designer. Over time, what started as curiosity turned into discipline, and eventually, a clear vision for what I wanted to build.

Now at 24, I’m focused on bringing that vision to life through intentional design, storytelling, and texture. Every piece I make reflects a part of that journey.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey has definitely had its ups and downs, but I try to focus more on the ups. The wins, the lessons, the growth—that’s what keeps me going.

One of the biggest challenges for me has been finding my audience and creating a lane that feels true to me. It takes time to figure out how to communicate your vision in a way that resonates, especially when you’re doing something different. But through all of that, I’ve learned a lot about myself, my work, and the kind of energy I want to build around my brand.

It hasn’t always been smooth, but every step—even the tough ones—has helped shape the direction I’m moving in now.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work lives at the intersection of fashion, storytelling, and emotion. I design under my brand Affamé, where I specialize in crafting pieces that blend grunge aesthetics with bold textures—specifically leather and denim. I focus on creating clothing that feels cinematic, raw, and intentional—each drop is its own world.

I just released my debut collection, IIDENTITÉ, which was the first full realization of that vision. It included one-of-one pieces, a fashion film, a lookbook, and a team of creatives I’ve met and grown with over time. It was more than just a drop—it was the beginning of a larger universe I’m building through Affamé.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just make clothes—I build environments. I want to create a world that people want to grow into. The coolest world possible. Think Tron: Legacy but Affamé—gritty, futuristic, emotional, and sharp.

Everything I create is built on hunger and identity. And IIDENTITÉ was the first time I got to show people what that really looks like.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The most important quality to my success so far has been relentlessness. I don’t wait for perfect conditions—I work with what I have and figure things out as I go. Whether it was teaching myself to sew, building a team from the people I met over time, or pulling long nights to bring my vision to life, I’ve always pushed through, even when it was uncomfortable or uncertain.

I’m not afraid to go all in. I care deeply about every detail, and I’m willing to put in the work most people don’t see. That hunger—mentally, creatively, emotionally—that’s what fuels everything I create under Affamé.
