Conversations with Aaron Owen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Owen.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Come from an athletic background, played all sports growing up. Played baseball in college and professionally. Had a stint of odd jobs after baseball concluded, even was a cake decorator for a bit, Then moved into modeling/acting. Been doing that now for 8 years. Have had a lot of awesome experiences and worked with a lot of large brands from jeep to cocoa cola to Nike, etc. I am also big into fitness and fashion. So I have a social media presence and I’m really trying to capitalize on both and create a stream of income from both of those avenues.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road was smooth and promising with baseball being the end goal but that didn’t pan out and the road became bumpy. Lost myself a little after baseball concluded and it took some time to find my path again. Dealt with depression and loss of identity. I’m sure a lot of athletes can relate especially professional athletes, when sports isn’t the end game and you stop playing that sport you have a loss of identity because that whole sport is you. So struggled for a time with that but found a different calling in modeling and acting. Life is a bumpy road but if it was a smooth road with no challenges that would be boring. I’ve learned to love the challenges in life and embrace them which has helped me a lot.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve been modeling and acting for 8 years now and I have done some really cool jobs. Major brands I’ve worked for have been Coca-Cola, jeep, Nike, Alo, wrangler, etc. Ti date the coolest job I have done is the jeep job. It was a national commercial and was shot in Moab Utah, the whole experience was just amazing and surreal.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
That is a loaded question for modeling and acting with Ai now coming into play. Everything will get figured out but how it will I’m unsure. I believe people still want to see real people in ads and commercials and movies but who knows where this industry will be in 5-10 years. I do think the artist and creative will still have a place in 5-10 years though.
