Community Highlights: Meet Yesenia Quinteros of BloomTech Driving School

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yesenia Quinteros.

Hi Yesenia , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began with a vision: to help high school students succeed in their Driver Education in – person course. At first, I struggled to gain traction and didn’t see the success I had hoped for in 2019. But after taking time to reflect and thinking what was I doing wrong, I had decided to take a bigger step in which I would open my own driving school. In November 2019, while driving around searching for a location, I found the perfect place in which I still remember that day vividly. The space needed removing old tiles, making improvements and getting furniture, but I was determined. By February 2020, I officially open my doors and began preparing for a grand inauguration in March. Then COVID-19 hit, I was forced to shut down almost immediately after starting. It felt like everything I had worked for was slipping away before it even began. I cried, felt overwhelmed, and questioned whether I would make it through such an uncertain time. But during the lockdown, I chose to adapt instead of giving up.I used that time to connect with schools, develop my website, build online programs, and strengthen my business plan. As everyone was navigating uncertainty, we began finding new ways to move forward together with our first partnership which was Woodcraft Ranger Afterschool Program. Then several months later we reach ARC Afterschool Programs and explain our curriculum how we create engaging, fun lectures that taught students the fundamentals of driving. Soon after, LACER approached me to provide in-person Driver Education saw how impacted the classes are and decided shortly after to include Behind-the-Wheel training. That became a turning point. The programs from all afterschool has been incredibly successful, helping students and families who otherwise had limited access to driving education—especially those where no one in the household drives. Many of these students are preparing for college or seeking job opportunities, and having a license is life changing for them. Today, BloomTech has been serving the community for six years, helping students earn their permits and driver licenses. There is no greater feeling than knowing you’ve made a lasting impact. Students remember you as the person who helped them reach this milestone. The connection built along the way is truly special, as you support them in navigating young adulthood and thriving in their future. At BloomTech Driving School, we believe that students need sincerity, honesty, and guidance—because they look up to us not just as instructors, but as mentors. Our approach has built strong partnerships with organizations that recognize the value of what we do and the impact we make.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
March 2020 covid-19 shutdown. Pivoting as how uncertain times where there was no contact. Behind the wheel wear mask, gloves, and taking temperature. now we have gas inflation.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our core values at BloomTech Driving School are what set us apart. We are committed to fulfilling our customers’ goals. We are here to best serve our clients whether you are trying to obtain a driver license looking to enhance your skills. Our online driver’s ed course allows students to complete their course at their own pace from the convenience of home or local access. Drivers Ed classroom instruction or online will provide learning experiences within the comfort of the student’s location whether it be available at their high school. Students will learn behind the wheel one on one experiences with a certified instructor. The lesson will demonstrate techniques necessary to be a safe driver. Each lesson will be tailored to address specific areas of needed improvement. Client will be picked up approximately one hour prior to their scheduled behind the wheel testing for brush up and review to ensure optimal success.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I started as admin and became a driving instructor when I was in college. I been doing this for a very long time.
Also the name of my dog is name Bloom and the dog on the logo is my actual dog she has been my inspiration.
