Community Highlights: Meet Trisha Kwan of Imperfectscape, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trisha Kwan.

Hi Trisha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in the beauty industry over 25 years ago as a makeup artist and brow specialist. Back then, it was all about the craft—but as my life evolved, so did my perspective. Becoming a mom and moving into my 40s shifted the way I thought about beauty. I became more interested in how women feel, not just how they look. That curiosity led me into wellness and a more holistic approach to self-care. Today, I blend beauty and wellness through my studio work and online platforms, sharing honest, attainable ways for women—especially those over 40—to feel confident, balanced, and comfortable in their own skin.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to grow without losing the core of who I am. I’ve spent decades in beauty, and as social media and the industry evolved, there was pressure to constantly niche down or completely reinvent myself. At the same time, life changes—motherhood, aging, and personal health—shifted my priorities. Finding a way to stay rooted in beauty while naturally weaving in wellness took time. I had to learn to trust that women don’t just want makeup tips—they want to feel good in their bodies and confident in their lives. That balance didn’t happen overnight, but it’s what makes my work feel aligned today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Imperfectscape, LLC?
Imperfectscape, LLC is a beauty-focused brand built on experience, evolution, and real life. With over 25 years in the industry, my work centers on makeup artistry, brows, and beauty content designed for women who want to feel confident and current—especially as they move through their 40s and beyond. What sets my brand apart is its honesty. I approach beauty as something that lives beyond the mirror, so I naturally weave in wellness, balance, and lifestyle in a way that feels accessible, not overwhelming. Whether I’m creating content online or working with clients in person, my goal is to make beauty feel modern, wearable, and supportive of how women actually live. I’m most proud of building a brand that celebrates aging with intention and confidence, without chasing perfection.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next five to ten years, I see the beauty industry becoming far more personal and inclusive. Women are moving away from one-size-fits-all trends and perfection-driven messaging, and instead gravitating toward voices that feel real, experienced, and relatable. Beauty is no longer just about products—it’s about how those products fit into real lives, real bodies, and real seasons of change. I think we’ll continue to see a blending of beauty, wellness, and lifestyle, where confidence and self-trust matter just as much as technique. For me, that shift is exciting. It creates space to grow my platform in a way that reaches more women and encourages them to embrace their beauty while honoring their own journeys—at every age and stage.
