Today we’d like to introduce you to Robs Madison Magazine.
Hi Robs, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello there! My name is Robs, director of Madison Magazine and it all started back in 2015 when my sibling Roger and myself, wanted to create content related to the entertainment industry on socials (TV & Film).
First we created a Facebook account and then Instagram, where we soon discovered that several influencers and models wanted to be featured in the latter, either a post or an interview so we began to do that and with the reposting of that work the magazine began to grow so at that time we created a digital magazine (website) with covers inspired by Teen Vogue to feature them in a cool way!
Pandemic was a cornerstone in terms of redirecting the brand not only to repost and creating content but also to make it a little bit more organic by organizing first photo shootings with local actresses, influencers, and models and later with content related to interviews and podcasts with Lives on Instagram and TikTok, sharing their stories to our community.
Since then, we have been creating content related to the entertainment industry for Instagram and TikTok, and finally on YouTube, interviewing mainly actresses with fun sections such as Disney & Netflix challenges, Q&A and Would you rather, and at the same time talking about global trends!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been both smooth and tough road definitely, because at the very beginning of it my sibling and I struggled with the concept of the brand, we had to make a search like literally for weeks until we came up with the original concept.
And the name was also really difficult to assign because you can change it anytime on socials, but the logos and the work related to the features had to make sense and we didn´t want to change it over the time, so Madison appeared!
I believe it is gentle and easy to remember, and as a curious fact other options included Melrose or Plots but fortunately Madison won that battle back in 2015.
Another obstacle or challenge I consider important was to give the right message with the name, colors and content of the brand, before pandemic it was kind of easier but after that with TikTok taking a massive fanbase suddenly there were more pages creating content so you had to offer at that time kind of the same content but with a difference within all of it.
We’ve been impressed with Madison Magazine, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Madison Magazine is a cool concept focused in sharing all about the entertainment industry, more specifically creating content from world trends such as Stranger Things, Wednesday or Disney series such as Percy Jackson or Vampirina.
And at the same time sharing powerful stories from actresses in our podcast section, from Background to Upcoming projects, so you will find the same content on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, all colorful and with a deep message behind all of it, and even more to come!
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something most people don’t know about me is that I have always been looking for a brand like Madison Magazine, since my first interaction with films, series and music.
I wanted so much to create original content for socials long before Instagram, YouTube and TikTok existed like it is nowadays, so when I turn back and see all of the hard work, I feel awesome!
