Today we’d like to introduce you to Kollins Ezekh.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started in the world of movement and discipline—through boxing. I opened a boxing Studio with a passion for teaching people how to connect with their strength, both physically and mentally. Boxing is raw, empowering, and transformative. But I also knew that true wellness comes from balance. After years of coaching fighters and everyday athletes, I saw a need for something gentler, something that could challenge the body in a different way—through control, intention, and longevity.
That’s when the idea of Reform Pilates LA was born.
To me, Pilates isn’t just fitness. It’s an art form. It teaches you how to move with precision, how to build strength from the inside out, and how to care for your body in a way that’s sustainable. I wanted to create a space that feels elevated, calming, and strong—where people can walk in and instantly feel taken care of. Reform is the perfect complement to the grit of boxing. Together, they represent two sides of the same coin: discipline and grace.
Opening Reform wasn’t just a business decision—it was personal. I’ve worked with countless people recovering from injuries, dealing with stress, or just trying to feel at home in their bodies again. I wanted to offer them something transformative, not just physically, but emotionally too.
So here we are—on 3rd Street in the heart of West Hollywood. Reform Pilates LA is more than a studio. It’s a community. It’s a mindset. It’s a reminder that strength doesn’t always have to be loud—it can be found in the quiet moments, the slow movements, and the commitment to showing up for yourself.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building anything meaningful comes with challenges, and opening Reform Pilates LA was no exception. Even with years of experience running a successful boxing studio, launching a second space—one with a completely different energy and purpose—came with a learning curve. There were moments of doubt, financial stress, and the constant pressure to get everything just right. I didn’t want to open just another fitness studio—I wanted to create something that felt special, something that truly served the community.
One of the biggest challenges was staying grounded through the noise—staying true to the vision when it would’ve been easier to cut corners or play it safe. There’s a lot of pressure in this industry to be flashy or follow trends, but I knew I wanted to build something with integrity. That meant taking the slower route sometimes, being patient, and trusting that the right people would find us.
And of course, launching a business in today’s world—post-pandemic, in a competitive city like LA—isn’t easy. But I’ve learned that resilience is a muscle you build over time. Every setback forced me to get clearer on the “why” behind Reform. Every challenge became part of the story.
We’ve been impressed with MEMBERS ONLY BOXING & FITNESS And Reform Pilates LA, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Reform Pilates LA, we specialize in intentional movement—helping people build strength, improve mobility, and reconnect with their bodies through the practice of reformer Pilates. We offer small group classes and private sessions, led by certified instructors who truly care. But more than that, we’ve built a space that’s about feeling seen, supported, and strong—inside and out.
What sets us apart is the energy behind the brand. I come from a boxing background. I’ve trained fighters, coached high-performers, and built a community through my first studio, Members Only Boxing. That discipline, focus, and drive—it’s in my DNA. But I’ve also seen firsthand that power without control doesn’t last. That’s why Reform exists. It brings balance to the equation. We train the deeper muscles. We train the breath. We train the mind.
I’m proud that both my studios represent two ends of the same spectrum. One is grit. One is grace. And both are rooted in community. We’re not just building strong bodies—we’re creating space for people to feel empowered in their own skin.
To anyone reading this: Reform isn’t just for one type of person. It’s for anyone who wants to move better, feel better, and live more fully. Whether you’re an athlete,
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
To me, risk is a part of growth. I wouldn’t be where I am today without taking some major ones.
One of the biggest risks I ever took was moving to the United States. I came here alone with no family, no safety net, and no guarantees. Just a vision and a work ethic. It wasn’t easy. There were cultural challenges, financial struggles, and moments of real uncertainty. But I believed in something bigger for my life, and I was willing to start from the ground up.
Since then, every major step—opening my first boxing studio, launching Reform Pilates LA—has involved risk. I’ve poured my energy, time, and savings into building spaces that reflect my values. There were no shortcuts. But I’ve learned that if your purpose is clear, the risk is worth it.
I don’t think being fearless is the goal. I’ve felt fear many times. But what matters is choosing to move forward anyway. Risk is how you expand. How you learn. How you grow into the next version of yourself.
I’ve come to believe that the real risk is playing it safe and never betting on yourself. Everything meaningful in my life has come from choosing the harder path.
