Today we’d like to introduce you to Kasey Boone.
Hi Kasey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Almost ten years ago, I started Glow Skincare. At the time, it was just me offering skincare services such as facials, peels and microdermabrasion to my growing clientele. I soon outgrew the space I was in and moved into a MUCH larger space in Studio City. There, I continued to grow the business, hired employees, renters and continued to hone in on my craft. Then came a time where I no longer could continue renting the space so I moved to Toluca Lake. Major downsizing. This gave me a chance to redetermine where I wanted the business to go and how I wanted it to evolve. I started investing more of my time into social media and that is when the business really took a change. I was able to grow a large and very devoted community of estheticians and other beauty professionals. I also started my e-commerce business which really took off. I now have Glow Skincare Cold Rollers, Headband + Washcloths, and even my patent pending Glow Skincare Glow Towel. Glow is now in its fourth location in Woodland Hills.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t know if smooth is the right word, there have absolutely been ups and downs. When I had to move from Studio City to Toluca Lake, it was not by choice, I was forced out of my spa due to my new landlord wanting to use my space. Where I had put in many years and energy. It truly was my dream spa. But it was all for the greater good. Moving out meant downsizing and restructuring how Glow was going to run. It wound up being an amazing opportunity. There are always going to be struggles when owning a business, but what I have found is it is all about how you handle them, adapt and grow.

Glow Skincare is a skincare studio located in Woodland Hills. We also have a loyal following on Instagram and a booming e-commerce business. We are most known for our Glow Skincare Cold Rollers and Glow Towels™. We specialize in not only sharing but supporting other estheticians and beauty professionals. Including wholesale opportunities for other small businesses, unlimited tips and tricks through our Instagram, blog, podcast and soon to be Glow Magazine “Skin and the City”. I truly believe the more I share the more the beauty community can grow as a whole. I am proud of my entire brand, this is something I have wanted and worked for since I was eight years old. It is a true dream to be able to do what I am passionate about while helping others. It’s not just about selling a towel or a cold roller, it is about relationships and creativity.
What makes you happy?
Skincare of course! I love music, beautiful and nice things as well as creating beautiful and nice things. It is a great way for me to express myself and share my passions with my community.
