Community Highlights: Meet Erin Bourne of Erin Bee Personal Assistant

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Bourne.

Hi Erin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Wow,my journey has truly been a roller coaster.
It all started a few years ago when someone confidently told me I should consider becoming a personal assistant. They saw strengths in me that I didn’t fully recognize at the time my administrative skills, ability to manage calendars, provide face-to-face support, and my natural personality for helping others. For a while, I struggled to believe that I was actually good at those things. I even felt like my personality was bland. But through prayer, mentorship, and guidance, I decided to take a leap of faith.
At that point, I also reflected on who I was: a young woman with five degrees (four associate degrees and a bachelor’s, and currently pursuing my master’s). I thought, “Why not go for it?” Unfortunately, when I first tried, nothing came from it. I put myself out there to people I knew: entrepreneurs, caterers, business owners—but I wasn’t taken seriously. It was discouraging, and for a while, I felt like maybe it just wasn’t meant for me. So I went back to working a regular job, something stable that covered my bills and gave me security.
But recently, something shifted.
I went back to God and said, “I know I’m capable of this. This isn’t just something I’m good at—this is a skill. This is a gift.” I decided to cast my net one more time, trusting that God would make it make sense, open the right doors, and place me in the right rooms and on the right hearts. Even though I felt hesitant, I refused to turn back.
I partnered with a close friend who helped me build my business model, and together we worked through every detail with intention and care.
And now, here I am.
I am a Professional Personal Assistant, ready to grow, serve higher-level clientele, and step fully into my purpose. This is just the beginning, my stepping stone into professional management and everything that’s ahead.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wish I could say the journey was smooth, but it’s been more like a cobblestone road.
One thing I’ve learned through experience is that when you truly want something, it’s not always going to be easy, and it definitely won’t always be handed to you. For me, this path has been rough. It took a lot to step out on faith and trust that things would eventually work in my favor.
The first time I tried, nothing really came from it. I received a lot of “congratulations” and “wishing you well,” but no actual business. That was discouraging. Still, I decided to cast my net out again, and this time I can feel a shift. It’s not exactly the results I want yet, but I know something is coming.
Life brings challenges, but I believe there’s something greater on the other side of all of this. So I’m embracing the journey, every high and every low. I’ll have my moments where I cry or even complain, but I will always get back up and keep going.
At my core, I’ve always had a hustler’s mentality. By any means, I’m going to go get what’s meant for me.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is a virtual personal assistance service designed to support busy professionals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who need reliable, organized, and proactive support in their day-to-day operations. I specialize in administrative management, including email and calendar organization, client communication, data entry, social media assistance, and travel coordination. My goal is to help clients reclaim their time so they can focus on growth, creativity, and high-level priorities.
What sets my business apart is my personalized and relationship-driven approach. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all support—each client receives tailored services based on their unique needs, workflow, and goals. With a strong background in administrative coordination, communications, and customer experience, I bring both structure and strategy to every task I take on. I’m known for being detail-oriented, dependable, and highly adaptable in fast-paced environments.
Brand-wise, I am most proud of building a service rooted in professionalism, trust, and genuine care for my clients’ success. I take pride in being someone my clients can rely on—not just to complete tasks, but to anticipate needs and solve problems before they arise.
I want readers to know that my business is more than just assistance—it’s a partnership. I offer flexible, high-quality support that grows with my clients and helps bring clarity, organization, and efficiency to their personal and professional lives.

How do you define success?
Success, to me, is having the freedom, stability, and fulfillment to live life on my own terms while making a meaningful impact on others. It means building a life where I am financially secure, continuously growing, and able to create opportunities—not just for myself, but for the people I serve and support.
Success is also about balance: being able to pursue my goals, maintain peace of mind, and enjoy the life I’m working hard to build. It’s not just about titles or income, but about alignment—doing work that reflects my values, using my skills with purpose, and creating a lifestyle that feels both stable and rewarding.
Ultimately, I define success as becoming the best version of myself while building something that lasts and makes a difference.
