Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Zacarias
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began teaching Spanish writing and language to native Spanish speakers at a nonprofit school that helps adults from the most vulnerable neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. I started as a teacher and later became one of the school’s coordinators, working with about 12 teachers and 600 students. After three years, I had the opportunity to work as a tutor for a Colombian nonprofit, helping Argentine high school students with both in-person and online courses to prepare them for employment. Later, while doing this job, I started teaching Spanish for a German language learning company online. It was then that I began working with people from all over the world. Since then, I have worked for various global language companies and institutes, while also running my own online business with students in the United States and Europe.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Living in Argentina and working for clients around the world isn’t easy, especially when it comes to getting paid for your work. This has been the most challenging issue because of the country’s restrictions on international transfers and the lack of clear regulations, which even accountants interpret differently.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in helping people speak Spanish. My approach focuses on getting people to actively use the language, not just learning it theoretically. I’ve been working with some students for over four years, watching them go from complete beginners to speaking Spanish fluently on a wide range of topics.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
