Community Highlights: Meet Daniel Adelpour of BLVD Dental Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Adelpour.

Hi Daniel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

Originally from Thousand Oaks, CA, Dr. Daniel Adelpour is a proud California native. He is the third son of Iranian immigrants who moved to the United States for a better life for their family.

Dr. Adelpour attended the University of California, Los Angeles, for his undergraduate degree in psychobiology, where he learned how science and people’s behaviors and thoughts intertwine.

Dr. Adelpour’s desire to continue his education took him to the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery. While at USC, Dr. Adelpour was heavily involved in student organizations. Most notably, he was the president of the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association (SPEA), where he promoted and supported his peers’ lifelong commitment to ethical behavior. Furthermore, he was Vice President of the Associated Student Body Executive Council, overseeing student projects and events and managing finances for the USC Dental School. Aside from academic endeavors at USC, Dr. Adelpour served on mission trips to Cambodia, Nicaragua, and Panama to transform the lives and oral health of the underserved. During these trips, Dr. Adelpour and his team helped many patients without access and completed over $500,000 worth of dental treatment at each clinic they visited.

Dr. Adelpour completed his residency in San Diego, CA, and completed the NYU Langone Dental Medicine program. He received certifications in multiple facets of dentistry there, including Invisalign®, Cosmetic Dentistry, and Emergency Dentistry.

Dr. Adelpour is passionate about helping his patients achieve their perfect smiles and primarily practices cosmetic dentistry. Starting with dental bonding, he fell in love with the immediate and life-changing results of this convenient cosmetic dentistry procedure. Soon after, Dr. Adelpour became an expert in porcelain veneers and continued to expand his repertoire of cosmetic offerings.

When he is not in the office, Dr. Adelpour enjoys spending time with his wife, Judith, an orthodontist. He enjoys visiting comedy clubs, hiking and soaking up the natural beauty of the Los Liones Trail, and preparing home-cooked meals. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think anything worth doing is ever completely smooth! After working as an associate dentist for several years, I realized that the way others were practicing didn’t fully align with the kind of care I wanted to provide. I decided to start my own practice — but finding an existing office that matched my vision was nearly impossible, so I took the leap and built one from scratch.

That came with its own challenges. I was trained to be a dentist, not a business owner, so I had to learn everything — from choosing the right space and equipment to hiring staff and figuring out how to stand out in a city full of talented dentists. But I’m proud to say that my practice has now been open for over two years and continues to grow steadily!

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My best advice is to just get out there. Show up to events, be friendly, and treat everyone with kindness — you never know who you’ll connect with. I’ve had the most success by going to social gatherings and building genuine relationships.

One thing I’ve learned is not to approach networking with the mindset of “What can this person do for me?” People can sense when you’re being transactional or phony. Instead, focus on meeting new people and genuinely caring about who they are. When your intentions are real, the right connections tend to follow naturally.
