Community Highlights: Meet Connor MacIvor of My businesses are SantaClaritaOpenHouses.com and HonorElevate.com, both run under my brand, Connor with Honor.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Connor MacIvor.

Hi Connor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m Connor MacIvor, known as Connor with Honor, and my journey’s been a wild ride of reinvention. At 21, I moved from Alamogordo, NM, to join the LAPD, serving 17 years as a motor cop and 3 as a reserve. I trained officers in firearms, tactics, DUI detection, and more, honing a passion for teaching and problem-solving.

In 1998, I dove into real estate in Santa Clarita, CA, and have since helped thousands buy and sell homes through SantaClaritaOpenHouses.com, building trust with my no-nonsense approach.

In 2022, ChatGPT sparked a new mission: mastering AI to empower businesses. I launched HonorElevate.com, creating AI-driven systems—chatbots, workflows, and CRM tools—to streamline operations for local entrepreneurs.

My tech journey started at 13, programming on a Timex Sinclair, and now I’m blending that curiosity with my real estate expertise to innovate.

Life hasn’t been linear. At 365 pounds, I transformed my health, shedding 130 pounds in 7.5 months through fasting and hormone therapy. After a 30-year marriage ended, I found new love and purpose. At 56,

I’m an eternal optimist, thriving without a safety net, driven by a desire to help others—whether through real estate, AI solutions, or sharing my story of resilience. I still teach firearms safety and marksmanship, reflecting my commitment to public safety.

From cop to realtor to AI entrepreneur, my path shows it’s never too late to pivot, learn, and grow. I’m excited to keep serving Santa Clarita and beyond, proving that with honor and grit, you can rewrite your story.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road’s been anything but smooth—more like a dirt track with potholes, but I’ve always believed challenges forge character. As an LAPD motor cop for 17 years, I faced high-stakes situations daily, from life-threatening calls to the mental toll of constant vigilance. Transitioning to real estate in 1998 while still on the force was grueling—balancing 80-hour weeks with learning the ropes of a competitive industry. Early on, I lost deals due to inexperience, but each failure taught me to listen harder and hustle smarter, building SantaClaritaOpenHouses.com into a trusted name.

My biggest personal hurdle came at 365 pounds with a 65-inch waist. Health issues loomed, and self-doubt crept in. Dropping 130 pounds in 7.5 months through fasting and hormone therapy was brutal—physically and mentally—but it rewired my discipline and outlook. Then, my 30-year marriage ended, shaking my foundation. Starting over at 50 wasn’t easy, but finding new love showed me life’s second acts can be better.

Pivoting to AI entrepreneurship with HonorElevate.com in 2022 was another leap. At 56, diving into tech—building AI systems and workflows—meant unlearning old habits and wrestling with a steep learning curve. Doubters questioned why a realtor would chase tech, but I saw AI’s potential to empower businesses and stuck with it.

Every obstacle—cop stress, real estate flops, health battles, divorce, or tech skepticism—taught me to adapt, stay curious, and keep moving forward. I’m still here, thriving in Santa Clarita, helping clients and building solutions, because giving up isn’t in my DNA.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
SantaClaritaOpenHouses.com is my real estate platform, where I’ve been helping folks buy and sell homes in Los Angeles and Santa Clarita since 1998. With thousands of transactions under my belt, I specialize in delivering straight-shooting advice and tailored service, built on 17 years as an LAPD motor cop where trust and precision were non-negotiable. What sets me apart? I don’t just list homes—I guide clients through the chaos with grit and honesty, earning loyalty through results.

HonorElevate.com is my AI integration and automation venture, born in 2022 after I dove into tech to empower businesses. I craft agentic systems, AI voice bots, and CRM workflows that solve real problems—lead nurturing, efficiency, and growth—for local entrepreneurs. My edge? Decades of hands-on experience, from training LAPD recruits to mastering real estate, blended with a tech passion that started at 13 on a Timex Sinclair. I teach clients to “fish” with tools, not just hand them a quick fix.

I’m proudest of building brands that reflect my journey—resilience, reinvention, and service. Readers should know I’m all about empowering Santa Clarita’s community, whether through a dream home or cutting-edge tech, with no safety net but a relentless drive to help others thrive.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My faith has been a steadfast source of strength, guiding me through life’s ups and downs. Patrick Raach, my broker, has been a mentor, refining my real estate skills with his expertise. Rox, my life partner, inspires me daily with her unwavering support. My dad, who passed in 2001, instilled honesty and honor from his days at White Sands Missile Range working on ICBM projects, igniting my tech passion. My LAPD partners over 20 years shaped my resilience, though too numerous to list. John and Gail Staugaard offered me a home and hope after my marriage ended, with just three suitcases to my name. Even tools I’ve used to rebuild have been key. Together, they’ve driven the success of SantaClaritaOpenHouses.com and HonorElevate.com, rooted in serving Santa Clarita with integrity.
